I visited the Lime Tree Pub in Whetstone. I was a bit indecisive at first about what to order, but eventually I came to a decision. The food was top-notch. I had the carvery, and I wasn't disappointed. Beef, Gammon, Yorkshires, Veg, etc., the gravy's on the side in a warmer, and you have a variety of sauces to choose from. I would certainly visit again, as I really did enjoy the meal, and the atmosphere was also good. I was attended to, by a lady named Izzy.
The lime tree has had a beautiful refurb and the atmosphere is lovely. We had the Chateaubriand to share it was cooked to perfection by mason the chef. The food is really tasty and the portion sizes are really generous. The service is amazing from all the team they are very friendly and attentive.
Have been a couple of times and the menu is good. Portions are a good size and food is fresh. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating and a kids play area. They have always accommodated despite last minute booking and being busy. Would recommend and will be back again.
I love this place, great food and atmosphere. My burger did have chilli jam in it though and I did not see that on the menu. This was not an issue for me however my brother did not like this addition. I ordered the Camembert Burger and he got the Bacon Chicken Burger. (The picture is their Camembert Burger).
We had a lovely meal here from the lunch menu. Fantastic value for money. The place has been refurbished looks great. We had our baby in a high chair and staff were really helpful and attentive. Even bringing extra plates etc for us to put her food on.
Working away on business and came across this pub/ restaurant.
I would highly recommend paying a visit as the food was delicious and excellent value for money. Portions were a good size.
A massive shout out to Shannon the waitress who made us feel very welcome ,very professional .Will definitely return if I'm ever in the area .
Ate in the restaurant here on Saturday night and it was so lovely. V friendly waitress (ginger girl). Had the steak and ale pie (LOADS of onions, not much steak and a lot of pastry so bear this in mind if you want a meat-heavy pie - but the few chunks that were in there were v tender). But the veg that came with the pie was delicious, not overdone like most pub meals! My friend had the pork belly bao burger. She said the meat was really nice, but the whole thing a bit too tangy? The fries were v good. We shared the kinder cookie dough dessert but it was a bit overdone, more of a cookie than cookie dough. Wish we got the Biscoff bread and butter pudding! But it’s a really nice pub, the Malbec was delicious and was bustling on a rainy sat night.
The new summer menu is really good. Extensive free from menu. Really busy when we ate but service was brilliant and staff are so friendly. Definitely would recommend and eat here again.
I really wanted a Sunday roast but my usual haunt was full. Me and my Dad decided to try here and we were not disappointed. The generous portion of meat was great! And the beef was so so so yummy. Melts on your tongue! Very happy.
Thank you
I love this place.
It’s recently been renovated and has a really nice vibe,
I had the honey and mustard chicken supreme, it’s on the winter warmer menu, it was delicious! Please don’t take this off the menu as i would certainly recommend it to anyone!
In the summer it has a lovely big beer garden and a play area for the kids. Great place
Visited this place first time today. Atmosphere I great as a first impression and it remains like that. Food was delicious. Had starters, mains and desserts. Everything was tasty and fresh, complements to the chefs. The staff was really really polite and friendly and seemed very appreciative for all customers coming for a meal. Will definitely come back.
the staff are all really friendly and welcoming and the food was really tasty. i had a really nice time here :)
I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Lime Tree pub and was blown away by the exceptional service and atmosphere provided by their amazing team. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who made me feel right at home.
What sets The Lime Tree apart from other pubs is their dedication to providing top-notch service. The team here goes above and beyond to ensure that every customer has a memorable experience. They push past any barriers to deliver magnificent service, making you feel like a valued guest at all times.
Not only is the service outstanding, but the pub itself has also undergone a stunning refurbishment that has truly elevated it to a whole new level. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and exudes a sense of sophistication. It is clear that a lot of thought and care has been put into creating a space that is both stylish and comfortable.
But the true highlight of my visit was the food. The Lime Tree is now a destination for gastronomic sensations. The menu offers a variety of dishes, each bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. I was impressed by the attention to detail in presentation and the use of fresh, quality ingredients. Every dish I tried was a true delight for the taste buds.
I must also mention the selection of drinks at The Lime Tree. Whether you're in the mood for a craft beer, a glass of wine, or a perfectly mixed cocktail, their bar staff will not disappoint. They are knowledgeable and passionate about their drinks, and are more than happy to make recommendations based on your preferences.
Overall, I cannot praise The Lime Tree and its team enough. They are truly 5 stars and deserve a special mention for their outstanding service, stunning refurbishment, and mouthwatering food. The Lime Tree is no longer just a pub, but a destination for an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a gastronomic sensation and a great pub atmosphere.
We had a family get together. Warm welcome to this clean atmospheric establishment. Knowledeable attentive staff who ensured all needs were met. The menu was comprehensive. The food was excellent and served with pride. An excellent visit marred only by the play area not being available due to needing a H and S check - this was one of the reasons we chose the Lime Tree. Word of warning - if parking in the small car park DO NOT TURN RIGHT WHEN EXITING AS VEHICLES SPEED OFF THE NEARBY ROUNDABOUT WITH INDICATING. VERY VERY CLOSE TO BE T BONED. Management need to consider closing this car park.
Just been refurbished and done very nicely. We had the Sunday carvery, which was excellent. Great service from Amber, very polite and attentive even though she was always busy. She never seemed to stop taking orders, bringing out food, clearing away, etc. Diamond.
Met a friend at The Lime Tree tonight and decided to stay for food. We’re not often ones to leave reviews as we’re always too busy, but I have to say, we weren’t disappointed. The food was fantastic, we both decided to go for the Hunters chicken and it was cooked beautifully, the chips were nice and crispy on the outside and lovely and fluffy on the inside and tue chicken itself was spot on, we also had desserts, which again did not disappoint, I would definitely recommend coming here for food as well as the friendly atmosphere, the staff were lovely and friendly and always on hand without being intrusive. We’ll be going back again as soon as we both have matching days off.
