It was very quite when we came to this historical old pub, in 1693 it was called the Green Dragon then in 1783 became the Swan & the swan with 2 necks, apparently a neck was a notch probably in the beak to denote ownership.
Old beams have been revealed showing yet more characters and features
Had a Traditional breakfast which came out fairly quickly and was what was expected from Spoons.
Nice coffee whilst listening to the peal of church bells.
Steps at the front door but there is a accessible entrance at the rear,
No car park and toilets upstairs and an accessible toilet on the ground floor
Went Wednesday lunch time. Had to wait nearly an hour but boy was definitely worth the wait! I had the special fish chips and mushy peas and my husband had a pepperoni pizza. The food was so fresh! Great portion and really good value for money. While we were waiting we read some history on the pub and it was fascinating. The original part being there about 1500s. Will definitely go there again, but avoid the busy time.

Popped in here for breakfast , nice place inside food was quick and well cooked, would certainly go again if we are in the area.
Visitor to Leek, went here as it looked lovely from the outside, then discovered it was a Weatherspoons. Had a lovely lunch, chips and burger were delicious and well presented, lovely cold beer. All for £8.10. Very friendly staff. Lovely outdoor area. Very pleasant locals. A great afternoon lunch!
First time I've been in here, but, first impressions. What a lovely pub. Really enjoyed it. We didn't eat in there, hence no stars for that.

It's very clean and friendly, staff are polite and respectful. Food is well priced and is done pretty fast. Toilets are extremely clean and smell fresh! Good place to go for a family meal or a drink!
We ended up having a late evening meal here and the food was spot on and the staff couldn't of been more helpful. Enjoyed it that much went back for breakfast which was as good.
Nice friendly place I was visiting the area and popped in a nice bunch although food was not as good served Luke warm and didn’t get a chance to voice as nobody asked how my meal is .. I would go give another go though for friendliness
