Very nice food and atmosphere. Lovely woman serving named Julie serving and attending to us. Myself and significant other were so pleased with the whole experience. Will be coming back to try more on the menu soon. If you ask nicely, they even let you take your dessert away. Which suits me cause can't eat a lot at once. x
Went on Sunday the 3rd April under new management an seemingly a different pub. We had the Sunday roasts and they was all fantastic the service was excellent lovely atmosphere and had a lovley drink outside in sun after. Excellent we will be back 🍾

Whilst holidaying in Rudyard we found this place in the lodges guest book and decided to give it a try, I’ve always found with Marstons that you either get really good or the exact opposite, this place was incredible! Big pub with plenty of seating options, enormous car park, the food was spot on, but most importantly the staff were absolutely brilliant! the bar lady was absolutely lovely, she was not only helpful, quick and polite she even took the time to show us some nice places that we should visit whilst visiting the area, The chef as well, not only was his cooking prompt and delicious, he was extremely polite as they had ran out of chicken breast - he was forthcoming, friendly and asked us what we’d like as a replacement on our mixed grill, absolute legend of a guy! both members of staff took the time to talk to us and made us feel welcome, both I’d say are real assets to the brewery and pub, it was one of the best pub experiences I’ve ever had and one day, when we return for our next get away, we will certainly be back. One of the few places I’d give 6/5 if it was allowed!
Came for a Sunday roast today with a large table, it was great service, food was lovely! The new management have done so well to the place! Definitely recommend
Lovely food, and lovely place, not to mention the staff were all very pleasant. Whilst eating a lovely lady whom worked there, if i remember rightly her name was abbie, came over to entertain the children whilst we finished up. The kids loved it and so did we. Would definitely come again
Pleasantly surprised with our visit here. Spacious pub with plenty of seating. The menu is very comprehensive. All our meals were very nice. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Overall the food was good value for money. We'll definitely be returning.
Visited on a warm Sunday afternoon which was very busy. The kitchen was working with one chef and the poor guy hadn't had a break. Consequently there was a half hour wait for food. The staff explained this to each customer as they came to book. I was on a tight schedule and they went above and beyond to get our meals out to us as quickly as possible. Katy served us and was so lovely and helpful,as we're all the other members of the team. Very well run and professional team. The food was deli ious too.many thaks
We called in by chance today and absolutely loved it. There was so much choice on the menu. The 2 men serving and waiting on were very friendly and helpful. All of our food was beautiful and we definitely call again.
Super nice pint. We had the little side of cheese dippers, you only get three but they were tasty. £5 a pint, nice.
We visited yesterday. Brilliant service. From start to finish Katie looked after us. She made our experience very enjoyable.
It is so nice to hear children laughing and enjoying food. The cowboy burger was amazing. And the little touch with the pea shoots is great. Will certainly be back to see Katie’s beautiful smile and service.

Tonight, we came into mulberry leaves as we are at Alton towers for the weekend and are staying up the road.
We had some beautiful food and puddings. Couldn’t go wrong!
All staff were polite & Riley the young lad had excellent customer service & manners.
A lady (staff member) also gave our son £1 for the sweet machine which was extremely kind.
We will deffo be back again if we are ever this way. (Live 3hrs away in Essex)

Came here and had a lovely hunters chicken with my family , who all enjoyed there food too , bar staff were all lovely and service was great from Chloe and the two younger lads. Would recommend to family and friends.
Got a lovely welcome by Julie and she gave amazing service the whole time we were here. Smile on her face the whole time and answered any questions we had . Definitely one of our new favourite places to go .
