If you love your curry’s but are sick of the same bland tastes and menu chooses of your normal run of the mill curry house and you what to try something a bit different then this is your place. Wow. The food tastes amazing. Authentic Indian food that is full of taste and delicious flavours. The staff are lovely, welcoming and are very helpful. What a great place and will definitely be going back. Would recommend this place 100%.
Had a take away from here on Sunday night for my 18th birthday. It was the nicest Indian I have ever tasted and they even gave me a bottle of wine for my birthday! Can’t recommend highly enough!

My wife and I were spending a relaxing weekend in our caravan at Goat Fell Farm and decided to try Mehek, which is within walking distance. We arrived at about 5:50pm and it was empty. So, when we were asked if we'd booked we were a bit surprised. In hindsight, we were lucky because by 6:30pm the place was filling up rapidly and there wasn't a free table when we left at 8:15pm. Despite this demand we were not rushed in the slightest.
We both love Asian food and weren't disapointed. We were looked after by Ebu who is amazing and passionate about authentic Bangladeshi cuisine. The menu had some dishes we hadn't heard of before along with the the more familiar ones. Fresh, crispy popadums and chutney to munch on followed by something new. Murg Tikka for my wife and I had Amritsari Machli to start. Both of these were delicious, even the salad was made extra special with sprouted lentils. For mains, my wife had Lal Maans and I had the Country Captain Chicken Curry, we both had pilau rice and garlic and corriander naan. It was all perfectly cooked and every mouthful, an absolute delight. It was so good we went back for a takeaway the following evening. Ebu, the Sutki was fabulous and should be on the menu.
Had a great night here the staff are so friendly and the food is out of this world the taste and presentation of the food is not like your standard Indian restaurant around here you would only get this standard of food and service

Excellent service and delicious food - this is not your 'normal' curry house. Highly recommended and well worth a visit if you are in the area and if you aren't local it is well worth the drive! Vegetarians are extremely well catered for and nothing is too much trouble. See you again soon....

Had our first Mahek take away 3 weeks ago and Ate here last week for the Sunday Banquet. As a party of 4 the food was out of this world! It was refreshing to try new things that you wouldn’t ordinarily order on a menu! The owner was very friendly and accommodating explaining the food to us and also sorting me out with a tray to take to work the following day! Well done Mahek! See you again soon!

Very highly recommended. I had the nicest curry i think I’ve ever had ( it was the specialty king prawn dish - I can’t remember what it was called), the service was fantastic and the restaurant is beautiful. Will definitely be returning and recommending, thank you.

Authentic Indian cuisine that you cannot find anywhere else. It is an excellent place to dine with a relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely go again because of the tasty food, service and reasonable prices.
Incredible food and service!
Everyone is well behaved and helpful. There’s a large waiting area with a bar, lounge and games such as chess and darts.
We had the Sea Bass with Banana Leaves, Gulabi Duck, Beef with Beetroot and Aloo Poori Chaat. Everything was 10/10. The gravy with the beef in particular was out of this world.
Can’t wait to visit again!

Just visited the Mehek after recommendation from goatfell cl, where we are on holiday. Very lovely and tasty meal, well presented too, service excellent had a very interesting lovely chat, with i think was the owner. Excellent. Thankyou.
Went there for a friend's 60 th birthday . The food is very good . I went for the lamb shank , as I am not too keen on curries which usually have far too much sauce to my liking . Turned out it isn't the case , from what my friends ordered : their dishes looked really good , so I know , when I go back, that I can get a curry . However , I loved my lamb shank . Meat was falling off the bone, right amount of spices for me, as well. Service was good and attentive . Would not hesitate to recommend this place . We had a good evening and they even surprised my friend with a piece of cake . Lovely gesture.

We were stopping at a nearby village Ashbourne and found this Indian restaurant. Will definitely go back. I enjoyed my Indian tea.
My wife and I went to the Mehek to celebrate her birthday. It was excellent in every area. The food was first class the service was spot on, friendly and professional. The cleanliness excellent everywhere.

Food out of this world. All your traditional dishes and some amazing chefs specials. Staff were very welcoming and the chef took time out to talk to us. Very clean too.
