I have just run a fundraising night here and everyone at the Dalesman were so accommodating. Will definitely be returning for future events.

Wow thank you to the staff at the Dalesman. I have had many an Avon team meeting in my time - but you by far are the best.
Clean, tidy and friendly. We were left to ourselves but with staff on hand serving when needed. I played Christmas music and changed the room round to suit the meeting. With absolutely no problems from the manager or staff.
Thank you so very very much. I highly recommend you whether you want a friendly pint or have a venue.

Hidden Gem, great sized rooms with lovely staff. Kids had lots of room to run around and really enjoy the party. Couldn’t have been more accommodating.
Great fun, good prices, would come again, Karl's music kept us in ages, we missed the bus and called in for a pint, ended up all afternoon, locals nice too.

I went into this establishment for the first time yesterday and I’ll begin my journey of what happened here.
Firstly I called up and spoke to a gentleman called Steve, I’m not sure if he is the landlord but he is a very pleasant chap. I explained that I was a Manchester City fan and asked if there is any rules against wearing flags etc on you. I asked this because you have to respect the fact that we are in Leeds not Manchester and I didn’t want to go out and offend. Steve said it was allowed but did say I should expect some banter in which was understandable.
I arrived within 30 minutes all dressed up with flags wrapped around me ready for the match (Champions league final) and outside there was a few people with Leeds United top on. They didn’t have the banter but they was all saying they hoped Manchester City win & they was very friendly.
Inside there was a wonderful atmosphere with many fans from different teams as far as Scotland and Brighton.
I ordered my first drink and the lovely lady who served me was amazing. I asked her if the price was right because it come in cheaper then expected.
I watched the game and the staff as well as the customers were amazing, there was even entertainment in the other lounge with karaoke. I was tempted but I was not drunk enough lol.
Overall after my long story I’d love to say to the staff and customers that you are amazing. I am proud to call this place my new local having just moved in the area.

Brilliant food very delicious. Staff were very helpful and understanding. Had a few drunks in during our meal and they apologised many times over and gave us discount for the troubles.

First visit for several years. It was early afternoon when I went so it was very quiet (only to be expected), got busier when I left after a couple of pleasant hours.
Ah the dalesman. Its had a refreshing refurb and is a fine enough pub, lovely place for a bit of grub with the kids and a bit of pub grub with the lads if you know what I mean.
Great kids area, great dogs area, a room for eating and drinking and a room for drinking and pool. Classic lads pub affair.
Nice place. Great food. The steak and ale pie was delicious.
New play area for the kids too with loads of outdoor seating now. A vast improvement

Just had food here with my family and it was lovely. Kids enjoyed it also.
The staff are very nice and go out of their way to ensure a good experience. Play area outside is nice for the kids too.
Will definitely be making this our new local from now.

Food perfect, cod n chips cod was huge and batter beautiful, tartare sauce there was actually enough, chips and peas fine and loads of salt vinegar and ketchup available. Mac n cheese my daughter had was lovely as well. Thank you for friendly service and being brill xx
The Dalesman is a well kept well run local to me. Karl the landlord is an especially nice gentleman and I'm sure his staff are well chosen. Its clean,tidy and not very loud music wise. The drinks are reasonably priced and if preferred tea or coffee is available. The function room looked delightful when I was in recently as it was to be used as a wedding reception the following day. I would have no problem in suggesting this venue for this type of occasion and children are welcome as the landlord holds fun days on a bank holiday Great stuff Karl!!!

Lovely refurbishment . Have known this pub for years as my family live locally. Went in for some food and sat in the beer garden with our granddaughter.The food was very nice and staff were pleasant .The only thing that let it down were lots of cigarette ends in the grass and the grass was also rather long which seemed to make it a little unpleasant when walking on them with young children around ....and there were a lot of cigarette ends not just a few. However the atmosphere and the play area will make us return for another visit .
Nice local pub, foods decent too & the outside play area and beer garden are great for nice weather.
