By far the best ale house to call your "local" . Great selection of ale, good selection of gin. Always decent offers on, chilled atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, tasty food and decent size beer garden.
Nice atmosphere and staff. Better than average pub food and most importantly, the best welcome for dogs! Always has sports on the TV - pity there is no way to hear the commentary! Great place. We discovered it in July 2010 on the night of our wedding party ... we went with a really international group to watch the World Cup final and as a lot of us were Spanish and all lived there it was a fun party and the management gave us a bottle of fizz to celebrate!
Ended up here after visiting the pub next door and finding no food to be available until later in the day. What a great happenstance because we found Woodies to be fabulous!! Great vibe, great food, and great service. Who could ask for more?

Visited last night as staying overnight near by. Place was very busy but had a good friendly atmosphere . Ordered roast beef wrap and chicken jalfrazi both arrived in good time were well presented and tasted amazing. The staff were pleasent and attentive , the only negative is that we live over an hour away but if we are ever in the area again we will visit again.

Best burgers in Leeds. The bacon cheeseburger blows anything "spoons" have to offer right out of the water.

Love the pub, all different types of characters. All generations. Sports on TV are awesome and food is great. Very recommended. Bar staff are perfectly normal!!
Great range of cask ales. Beer garden was fab. Loved the decor too. Very busy on a Thursday but staff were polite and friendly.

Me and my friend had a fabulous time at this pub, which has a vintage design including features like the barrels! The counter is well laid out and nicely styled, where we were served quickly and I enjoyed a cider pint. Music being played is a relaxing addition and the seating is comfortable, also cleanliness had been maintained!
Unusually quiet which made a nice change, decent priced food and tastes awesome. Great place for a pub lunch

Great pub, caters to most. With a great beer selection. Just remember Saturday afternoons till 6pmish might be best to avoid if you don't want the Otley Run crowd
4pm and the place was packed with people enjoying themselves, full of laughter and people dressed in fancy dress, service was good considering the amount of people at the bar and the bar meals were of a good standard. Liked the little flower pots on each table, nice touch.
This is the first pub on the start of otley run. It is a nice starting point but quite pricey

Was hectic when we arrived on Saturday afternoon, so we were only able to be in the outside area. The outside area is really cool, but limited drinks selection. Could do with more heaters and umbrellas! Loving that they have their Progress Pale - 20p of every pint sold goes to LGBT+ charity.

Friendly, fun, lovely atmosphere, nice decor, heated outside area and a good selection of beer. Even though it's part of the Otley Run, it wasnt rammed when I visited.

Quality pub with nice outside area. Has three (...?) screens outside for watching matches and three (...?) inside screens. Nice drink selection too and very friendly atmosphere/customers... actually can't think of a single time I've been there when anything has kicked off.
