I've been vegan almost three years and have to say this is the best meal I've ever had.
I had the pulled jackfruit burger and the 'chorizo' meatless balls in bolognese sauce.
Couldn't recommend it enough! Reasonably priced and get plenty of food for your money.
Not one for writing reviews but I had some of the best vegan food in here last night. After wanting to go since September, it did not disappoint :) We had the seitan skewers, mushroom burger and a side of onion rings and parsnip mayo.
It was all awesome, especially the garlic wedges.. Omg
It’s a wicked restaurant and the staff were lovely. Will defiantly become a regular here.
Lovely staff who put in effort to give you a great experience. The chef is clearly passionate about his food and creating a welcoming atmosphere. The tapas we ordered had varying degrees of kick to them, so keep that in mind when ordering if you're sensitive to that.
This place is a must go for vegans in Leeds. Lovely atmosphere, the menu is full of gorgeous vegan dishes and it's very reasonably priced!
Proper lovely place, friendly staff, really good inventive food, relaxed atmosphere. Great value for money, 100% recommended, go eat there!
EDITED
After reading the review below, the Cantina team got in touch with me and very kindly offered me and my friend a complimentary meal, which we had last night. The service was great this time round and we enjoyed a delicious meal. We especially recommend the dumplings!

Unfortunately I can't rate the food, but the service tonight was far from acceptable.
We turned up tonight having made an online reservation which apparently hadn't gone through due to problems with the new website, so we didn't actually have a table, as the rest were taken (which admittedly wasn't Cantina's fault). After standing at the bar for a good 15 minutes before anyone offered us a solution (or even a drink), we were finally told we could eat downstairs in the bar area, which we were happy with. We were seated at a bar and a member of staff told us she'd come back in a few minutes to take our order. However, half an hour passed and no one came back, despite us asking a member of staff, so we decided to leave.
We understand the online booking mishap was not Cantina's fault, but it was also not ours. We feel the customer service we received tonight was poor. From the moment we arrived and said we'd made an online reservation it seemed like the staff were annoyed and did little to make us feel welcome. We were never offered a drink (let alone a complimentary one, or a snack), and then we were simply completely forgotten about when we were sent to the downstairs bar. We spent a total of 40 minutes waiting for nothing, which is a shame, as we were really looking forward to trying the food.]
Great food, great wine, great head chef corrr he's nice isn't he!
Nice venue too!
Been here twice now and both times it has been amazing. I've had the beetroot and seitan burger (the sweet chilli peanut sauce is to die for), the fajita, the seitan nuggets and the chorizo balls. Everything has always been so delicious and filling and really good value too.
I cant wait to come back and try some more of the tapas dishes
Just been down for The Cantina opening night, the food was wonderful, venue is great and the staff are lovely x
Well worth checking out. Every time I’ve tried the food there its been outstanding. Very creative, and Im sure many non-vegans & omnivores would enjoy it too
This place is always spot on. Good prices, good food, lovely staff. I highly recommend it. I would have posted a photo of the food but I ate it all. I highly recommend the “Hashbrown Down” burger with a side of hot sauce.
The best place in the Leeds for rave. Anytime I'm stepping through the doors it's like doors to other Dimension, whenever you go there, I can bet you'll go out happy and satisfied. Anyone you meet there is nice and full of respect and if by accident you step on someone, they'll apologize
I'm an introvert so being social ain't the easiest thing... Unless I go to The Old Bus Station
I recommend this place to every single person, unless you wanna make problems, then go away :D
Unusual experience (quite long sorry!) - all the food is vegan, the place is quite big and we did not find the background music too loud as other reviews said it would be (we did go on a quiet night though). I ordered the 'Now then mush' burger and my friend had the 'Hellfire' burger. Her's was ok (not amazing but not bad either) mine was really bad, so bad I couldn't finish it. The sweet potato side salad I had with it was really good. I said something to the barman because I thought it must have been a mistake given the generally good reviews of the food I'd seen. The barman went back and forth between his manager and eventually suggested it must be just me that doesn't like it - not to my taste. I convinced him to try the burger patty and he spat it out into a napkin it was so bad. He took it back to the chef who realised it was an ingredient he had changed that day because he ran out of the normal stuff which had made it taste bad. They then offered us another free burger - we chose the 'Mac got Fat', we got a free milkshake (vanilla), a free beer and a free coke. I'm really glad they believed me in the end but I had to convince the barman to try my food. The manager never came over to speak to us which would have been better than sending the barman over at least 4 times before it could be resolved and I can only assume this was because the manager did not take our complaint seriously at first. The replacement burger was good and the vanilla milkshake is excellent. I would go back to try other things as this place is good value for money vegan food in the centre of Leeds. 2 mains for £12 at certain times is a really good deal. The bus station brew beer was 2 for £5 before a certain time and it's really nice. Can't justify giving them 5 stars because the original burger was so bad! (Although looks like this was due to a mistake but the chef should be trying the food if using something different as an ingredient!). I am definitely going back for a milkshake if nothing else!
Good place to have some vegan junk food. The bar area is a bit spit & sawdust but worth a visit if you like seitan burgers & dirty fries.
Love the burgers here, they're so good especially when they had the full menu with a variety of burgers. Some of them being amongst the best vegan burgers I've had. Just had the plum sauce wings and salt and pepper chips which were delicious, highly recommend! Cocktails are excellent too.
Quite simply the best vegiburger I've had, ever. Chips were simple but cooked perfectly and well spiced. Service was very fast and friendly. Quirky interior, very informal and relaxing. Not too busy. Great for Saturday lunch.
Delicious food for a great price. A nice atmosphere with friendly staff. I will totally be back for more poutine!!!
Incredible vegan food every time I've visited here, and another great experience today. I'd heavily recommend the mock wings. They've been posting recently that they've been struggling during the pandemic and it'd be such a shame if we lost TORBS, so please head down if you can!
Awesome vegan restaurant. Very friendly staff and reasonable priced. The sunday roast was amazing. We'll definitely come back.
Great venue, bar staff really friendly and helpful will be back at some point.
Amazing vegan food, junk food style. Nice bar/restaurant but a lot of the drinks on the menu were not actually available
Incredible vegan food, the Hellfire Burger is so good. Cheesy-e are indistinguishable from real mozzarella sticks along with the chocolate orange and summer fruits cheesecake you can't tell are even vegan. Not to mention the Great service from Hannah. My meat-eater and vegetarian parents even loved it, whole heartedly recommended 👍
We went shortly after it opened so just about had the place to ourselves. I think it does live music etc but we went for lunch so it was quiet. Simple vegan dining, tasty though and convenient location. Just one young lady serving whilst we were there and she was very pleasant and helpful.
Good events space, nice staff and bar. Soundsystem perhaps not the best in Leeds but loud enough and great djs and nights on
The food here was lovely.
There aren't that many places to eat that are 100% vegan. Quirky place too . I'm surprises it was so quiet . I'm not a local so I dont know if its popular or not . We really likes it though.
Food was nice with minimal waiting time.
Delicious vegan food at great prices with very fast service. Not too loud and it has nice grungy decor. An excellent find!
