What a little gem! Such a lovely place to hang out, delicious coffee and cake! Ethical, community based, cool individual decor, retro furniture, locally sourced products and such super lovely staff. An absolute must if you like a proper independent coffee shop. Can't believe I've only just found this place, can't wait to go back and check out one of their music evenings. Wonderful!

Gorgeous stoup and sandwich, followed by delicious cake and coffee to wash it down. Amazingly unique coffee house, there's nothing else like it in Leeds! Will most certainly be back.

A new favourite!! Amazing food (maybe the best sandwich I’ve eaten) service, decor and playlist. What more could you want ?! Such a lovely experience, has an incredibly cosy, inviting atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you :)

I really enjoyed being here - sadly I could only spare half an hour and told the staff member this - he didn't mind. Everything was most timely, most friendly, the crusty baguette, crisps, salad, hot chocolate were all delicious and came as a sort of "meal deal". Would I come here again ... sadly I live in Lincoln so it is unlikely. Would I like to come again - oh yes. Big smiles, warm welcome, friendly conversation, prompt service, lots of other customers who added to the very positive atmosphere. Looking round, there wasn't anyone there I wouldn't like to know better. I'm used to being stared at (well I do dress strangely) and it was lovely to be somewhere where one was a welcome customer. Also this is the only place I every been where there is bunting in the toilets! The décor is great, whopping great banana plants (I guess they are fake) and retro cups, plates etc - nothing matching - much from 50s to 70s so (as I'm getting ancient) it was interesting to see patterns that had belonged to my grandmother and various people who have now gone the way of all flesh. Thank you Union Coffee House - you made a difficult and unpleasant day memorable for all the right reasons.

The coffee alone here is a reason to visit! The sandwiches are delicious and the desserts. All the staff here are so welcoming and polite even when they are really busy! Lovely seating, even the garden area is lovely. Good value meals too for lunch!

Absolutely gorgeous coffee house. There's a wonderful secret garden to shelter from the rain (today) or sunshine. Staff are fabulous, very helpful. Had a nice little chat 👌💜 Macciato was awesome, coming back for sure💯 I missed eating today, 2 weeks I'm there with bells on 👍

Wonderful cafe, lovely staff and great food! Really great options for both vegans and non-vegans! Really quirky interior and always made to feel welcome. Keep an eye out for summer when they have their courtyard reopened! They also do many vegan pastries which is a rare find in Leeds!

I was so hungry i forgot to take a picture of my food!!! I had eggs, avo and bacon on toast and it was delicious. Served with two barista made north star roasted lattes which were equally delicious. I love the interior here and the staff are fantastic

Great food and friendly service!! BBQ chicken sandwich was delicious! Tasted like it had been slow cooked for extra tenderness. Loved the music too! Elbow rock!!

Lovely lunch venue, convenient for Hospital and Courts. Very welcoming, amazing food, I had tomato and basil soup and sandwich combo which was delicious, my dining partner had poached eggs. Very high standard of food, at a very reasonable price.

Ordered a carrot cake and an oat latte, carrot cake was brilliant, really recommend if you have a sweet tooth, the latte was a bit sour to me (maybe just my personal taste is a bit odd). Overall, the atmosphere was nice, good place to chill for weekends. Would recommend paying a visit

A lovely little cafe with good value for money. I got a lunch meal deal for just under £11 which included a sandwich, a drink, and either chocolate, crisps or some fruit. They had one vegan sandwich which was a vegan apple smoked cheese baguette. The bread was lovely and soft, and the salad and filling was really tasty. The cappuccino was great coffee, and there are 3 different options of non-dairy milk available (bonus points for not charging extra!) The snack part was really impressive in their quality. The crisps were Tyrell’s, and the chocolate options were Love Raw (including the Nutty Balls and fake kinder buenos!!) I was really impressed with the quality of what was being offered for less than £11, especially as my options were vegan. The atmosphere is able to remain quite cute and boho despite being on a busy central Leeds road. It’s right next to a Greggs, and frankly I’m glad Greggs were out of vegan steak bakes a sit allowed me to find this lovely cafe!
