Stayed for one night as we were in Leeds for a concert at the First Direct Arena. Hotel is a perfect location, very central for food and entertainment venues. The staff were very friendly, and the reception is welcoming. We had a slight issue with our room but it was all resolved immediately and the staff were more than happy to help. Had such a peaceful night and felt well rested the next day, the room and hotel in general were both well decorated and clean and tidy.
Would definitely recommend and stay again.
We had a lovely stay at The Queen’s Hotel and weren’t by friendly staff and a warm atmosphere. Our room was well worth the little extra price as the view over City Square was smashing and amazingly quiet. We enjoyed a great nights sleep in a very comfortable bed and a smashing breakfast.
My only criticism was that the chairs in the Reception area hadn’t been vacuumed and there were crumbs and dust in the recesses of the seat.
Other than that - a perfect stay in Art Deco design.
Cary and I were very impressed with the concierge Dav, the receptionists, Nikki and Raquel, and several others that made our one day in Leeds amazing. Thank you from sunny Florida! We are on the bus to Manchester airport and wishing we could have spent more time exploring the cities of Leeds and York. Next time!
Great location and nice rooms. The hotel looks and smells great as soon as you arrive and has a direct entry into the train station. Parking discounted at the station car park and tickets need to be validated at the car park office. Welcomed with a Christmas gift on arrival. Service at check-in was okay, however we overheard a man checking people in layer who was fantastic. Soundproofing could be better in the rooms as we heard people coming and going through the night but nothing too bad. Fantastic location and great views of Leeds. The bar and cafe looked lovely. Due to a loud event taking place we chose not to try, but would love to give them a go next time. Reasonably priced given the fantastic location and well decorated rooms.
went for a formal function, so can’t say much about the hotel or rooms but will talk about the food. the staff were very polite and had exceptional service. i had a 3 course meal consisting of tomato soup, braised beef, and clementine tart, followed by a cheese board and coffee. the soup was very flavourful. the beef fell apart in my mouth and was so tender, however the star of the show was the cheesy potato accompaniment which was honestly the highlight of my whole meal - it was delicious. the clementine tart was very rich and citrusy. everything was presented well and service was well paced for the amount of people we had at the function. lovely venue.
We stay here a few times a year especially at new year. Staff always friendly and helpful. Rooms always clean and a good size. Great location for the city centre and next to the train station.
My only negative was that the room service menu was limited due to it been a bank holiday, but Maccies is in walking distance in the station, but it would have been nice to have something a bit more healthier.
Beautiful hotel in prime position of the city. Bed was comfortable and a really good breakfast, which was self-service. Our room was very clean but cold, hence the star reduction. We rang reception as soon as we got in there as we couldn't seem to get the heating on. A member of staff came right away to sort it for us, but although we left a key card in while we went to the bar, it didn't seem to get much warmer! Thank goodness for the robes because they were well used.
Our third visit to this well restored art deco hotel. Overall this is an excellent hotel and has a 'special factor' around the public areas and restaurants. We felt there were a few small areas that could be improved.
Stayed here for a work conference - other than 1 slightly stroppy receptionist was really impressed. Room was fab, much nicer than the Hilton next door. Cocktail bar behind reception is fab although seemed understaffed to cope with demand. Nothing too much trouble though and they put themselves out to make some “off-menu” cocktails for our group.
Would definitely recommend
I went to a debutant ball at this hotel, and my initial impression was fantastic. Situated in the city centre and conveniently close to the train station, this hotel is truly a gem. From the bar to the rooms, it made a positive impact on me. While the food was good, there is room for improvement. However, the bar staff were amazing.
I have stayed in a fair few
Hotels and absolutely LOVED The Queens. Fantastic interior and ambience. Efficient and friendly staff, room was lovely, extraordinarily quiet, great temp control - I will 100% be coming back.
Actually pleasantly surprised!! The Queens used to be "that run down hotel in the middle of Leeds" but it's now very smart. Not quite on par with some of the ultra modern hotels in Leeds but a very nice reception/,lobby, good quality rooms and great staff. The only slightly weird bit is the breakfast room in the basement which is very brightly lit. The food is great but it's so bright in there. Not very condusive to a relaxing breakfast. You feel like you are on show to everyone. Just dim the lights a bit Queens!! It'll make the experience so much better.
Great service as always here. Staff very attentive and polite.
Great location in the city center and next to the station
Rooms nice, although the room this time was on the small side and a lack of power outlets but it was ok for the price I paid.
Had lovely views of the sunrise over Leeds
Perfect venue for our work's Christmas party. Food excellent. Only slight criticism was the DJ/music. Nobody got up to dance until the last half hour of the evening. This, however, would not discourage me from using The Queens again for our parties.
Top notch service and amazing interiors. Had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. A great gym as well, something rare in hotels these days!! Will be coming back 🙌🏽
Great hotel right in city centre.
Comfortable bed and room, staff friendly and helpful. Nice cocktail bar.
Lovely spacious room with sitting area. Decor was beautiful throughout.
Only improvement would be a bath in bathroom but minor really.
Location is extremely central being adjacent to station and across the road from the main shopping mall
