We noticed this lovely little restaurant after recently moving into the local area and visited last night. We were greeted by 2 very friendly servers and offered our choice of tables. There is so much to choose from, without the menu being too overwhelming. Eventually we decided to share the special mixed tempura (prawns, avocado, sweet potato and aubergine deep fried in a tasty thick batter) and Takoyaki (battered octopus balls in yaki sauce with mayo) Both appetisers were delicious but the Takoyaki was out of this world and I could eat it all day! We both knew we wanted ramen as we had heard, that unlike a lot of other Leeds based restaurants, the ramen here comes with your choice of soup base; pork bone, miso, shoyo or cheese and pork bone and you can also choose which noodles you want; thick udon, thin buckwheat or classic thin egg ramen noodles. We both settled on the Senbon Sakura ramen with a pork bone soup base and ramen noodles- the ramen was out of this world, full with tasty grilled chicken, roast pork, salmon, king prawn and a huge mussel. It also comes with nori, a soy marinated egg, spring onion, sesame and wakame seaweed, bean sprouts and sweet corn. So yummy! After a couple of bites my husband proudly declared this was his new favourite restaurant in Leeds and I agree! The restaurant itself has a really casual and quite traditional Japanese vibe, bare wooden tables and chairs with no kitschy gimmicks and plays really cool, jolly Japanese music. The service was super friendly and quick, we were regularly checked on and dishes were cleared away quickly. For 2 mains, 2 starters and 2 drinks, the bill came to around £35, which is amazing! Be aware that they don't have an alcohol licence yet but have a good selection of soft drinks and teas. I'm looking forward to trying out their lunches and breakfasts in future too.

Had a family gathering here tonight and everybody loved this place. The owner was so welcoming and was very happy to describe the dishes. The food was excellent in taste, presentation and value. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Will definitely go again.
