Nice pub. Decent ale and a cracking beer garden. Didn't eat but saw (and smelled) some rather attractive dishes on my way to the bar. Highlight for me, the place seems dog-friendly, at least outside. I'll bring mine down for an hour or two. If your "dog-friendly" policy survives contact with Monty you're heroes.

Yesterday was the first time i've visited this pub in about 4 years. Lovely place, better than i recall in the past, and some fantastic Ale choices. Me and my girlfriend had a few quiet pints and a few games of pool whilst watching the match. Fantastic!!

Went for lunch. Steak and Guinness pie was huge, delicious, the meat was so tender served with tasty chunky chips and peas. Reasonably priced excellent value. Lovely friendly atmosphere.

Definitely recommend this place. I travel alone and visited it late at night, and still felt there perfectly fine - great, genuine local experience, very nice beer and snacks, and a safe space.

Lovely cosy pub with a fantastic set of staff and landlady. We went on pie night which is every Thursday. The pies are all home made with great hand cut chips.Great outside seating area which doubles as an events/party area which hosts live music.Voted pub of the year in 2016 it's well worth a visit.

Had a few pints of lovely cold lager. Food wise had steak pie, chips and mushy peas. Pie full of tender lean beef, proper home made chips. Very tasty. Will definitely be back.

It was our first visit to this pub and it won't be the last. We had a friendly welcome and the menu was the largest I've ever seen. As it was lunchtime my wife & I didn't want much to eat so we had the Spicy Crabcakes and a bowl of chunky chips. The service was good and didn't have long to wait. The Crabcakes were ample size and very tasty as were the chips. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and can't wait to go back and try something off the main menu. The price was also very reasonable...

Really nice food, staff are lovely, it's a great little spot in the area and my favourite local pub of the closest ones to my house. They have a massive beer garden for the summer and put on live entertainment as well. A great community feature!

Came in here for a drink and a pizza recently (meat feast) and had a lovely experience. The gorgeous girl Niamh behind the bar was so lovely and really made the experience for me. Would come back again.

Lovely food. Great service. Doesn't take cash which is very odd for a working class pub in a working class area. This started during covid and I would have thought they would have got over it by now.
