We held our son’s 3rd birthday party in the conservatory here this weekend, and everyone had a fantastic time. We visit the Mexborough regularly for both drinks and food, so we were confident that it would be a great place to hold the party, and we were not disappointed. The kids’ buffet was delicious and great value for money. The massive beer garden and bouncy castle were a huge hit with all the children, and Sheila and her team couldn’t have done more to ensure the day was a success. Highly recommended!

The Mexborough Arms is under a new tenancy, Sheila and her team, that's me! Ha! Ha! I have to say it's a pleasure to be in the game again, and with a dear friend Sheila from bygone days. The Mexborough is looking to reach great heights, food & drink wise, & Entertainment, also functions for all occasions, also a very large beer garden for children to play, so come along to a nice & friendly venue no matter the occasion, it'll be lovely meet all regular & new customers alike.... ;-)

Visited here on a Saturday as visiting a friend in the village. A proper throwback to traditional boozers, which is a great thing. Service at the bar was quick and friendly with the small range of beers on offer priced reasonably. They also had not done but several "pub dogs" which makes any pub a million times better automatically.

Love this place! With a family if 5 it's hard to find some pub lunch whilst the kids keep occupied. But we found the one! Football net so make sure to bring a football! Park and even a bouncy castle! The food was great and the staff there are absolutely lovely. Lovely outdoor area that the sun catches perfectly! Nice chilled out environment and the children kept busy! 5*

Lovely welcome from the landlady. Small menu but plenty of choice. I had pulled beef chili which was full of flavour, husband had beef en croute which he was totally impressed. We did the eat out to help out but would visit without this offer. Would recommend a visit for food.

Superb meal at Maisha Spice in the Mexborough Arms, Thorner with family to celebrate my other half's 50th Birthday. Chuton and his staff were really friendly and attentive and the food was amazing - even catering for a non-curry eater with a great sirloin steak! Great unexpected touch at the end of the meal with a birthday cake. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

Curry really good but, more importantly in my book, their Timothy Taylor’s is looked after really well. Hard to find such a nice TT pint now. Really good.
