A very nice and spacious cafe. Good for brunch/light lunch. Not too busy during the week, so ideal for remote working. Unfortunately, it closes rather early (3.30). Wish it stayed open until later!
My first ever visit of this coffee shop today was met by a resounding hello from all the staff. It was unexpected but very nice receive such a warming welcome. The cappuccino was intense in flavour but very nice. I ordered the porridge which took the right amount of time to make (tells me it was made from scratch) and was worth the wait. The atmosphere was nice and warm with a friendly atmosphere. The staff appeared to be happy and all enjoyed what they do. I'll be going back and bringing friends and family with me.

Exemplary! With bells on. Food not cheap, but it's absolutely delicious and extremely yummy. Great place to stop for a bite if you find yourself in the environs of Leeds Dock. Lovely, welcoming, friendly, obliging staff. Lofty dining space with big windows, great for people watching. Has additional covered outdoor seating to the front. A company with good sound ethics. Sells bags of the coffee and chocolate that it serves - mind you, £12 for a small bag of the choccie buttons was out of my price range. Makes totally delicious hot chocolate though! NB: This is a card payment only establishment, no cash payments. Super tasty range of vegetarian/vegan options. I can definitely recommend the mushrooms on sourdough - roast mushrooms topped with spinach, chestnuts and goats cheese and dill yoghurt. Everything about this place is marvelous. I'm definitely up for a revisit. Bravo! Highly recommended.
One of the best breakfasts I've eaten out in a long time. Lovely oatmeal, great texture and flavour. Yoghurt, plum compote and almond topping perfectly complemented it. High quality flat white, well presented. Would definitely go back.
Very nice pastry’s and decent coffee although on the pricey side I purchased a mocha which was of good quality just not to my taste (failed strong in coffee but weak in chocolate flavour where as I prefer a sweeter mocha )and pain au chocolates are of high quality and have a great tasting chocolate within them.
We ordered two of their featured filter/pour over coffees and would have to say they were the best I’ve had in the UK so far. Really bold, fruity flavours. Atmosphere was busy and welcoming.
I stumbled across this cafe whilst visiting relatives in Leeds.
The bruschetta (first photo) was one of the best dishes I've ever eaten. Fresh, and so much flavour in the simple ingredients. Even the bread and tomato ketchup (which my partner had with his meal) were amazing. I wouldn't have expected so much from a simple dish in a cafe. I was honestly stunned.
Coffee was fantastic, staff friendly and the food a really great price.
Because I loved the food so much I also bought a sausage roll to take away and see if their bakery dishes were just as good and I wasn't let down! Cheesy jalapeno sausage roll - it was beautiful.
I cannot recommend this cafe highly enough. It is hands down the best cafe I've been to. If I didn't live so far away I would definitely be a regular customer!
I have been visiting this cafe during the pandemic and i really love their bakery and coffee.
Today I went for brunch and I ordered the brûlée banana salted caramel pancake and scrambled egg on sourdough.
Both of the dishes were so delicious especially the pancake.
The only think I did not like is the mocha, i think it was made from dark chocolate and it was very bitter i did not like it.
As a customer service their so friendly and greeting
Overall, I'll be visiting again.
Northstar is undoubtedly one of the top coffee destinations in Leeds, and my go-to choice there is their impeccable flat white. Quite simply, it stands as the pinnacle of flat white perfection I've ever had the pleasure of savouring in my lifetime.
When I'm at the Docks in Leeds, I go every time in this cafe to drink an espresso. The expresso is excellent and the staff is always friendly. I like the atmosphere at the Docks.
I ordered salted caramel brownie and latte for breakfast. The brownie is moist, delicious and not too sweet. It's a decent size for £3.25 unlike those you get from high street which is really tiny. The coffee was tasty too, you can smell the scent from the coffee bean and it is one of the best coffee I have had in Leeds so far. However my friend ordered hot chocolate and it didn't taste like normal hot chocolate we expected, so I would definitely recommend to order coffee.
The indoor space is very spacious but not many seatings available. I went there on Saturday afternoon and it's pretty popular, I had to wait for a bit for seating.
The staff was kind and nice but most of them were really busy.
Cozy place with few delicious brunch options. I had the French toast it was a piece of art with good crunch. They offer fresh brewed coffee and bakery options from next door. Staff are friendly and the service is quick. I feel the place could do with more comfy chairs though.
Great breakfast eggs on sourdough the sourdough was definitely one of the best I have ever eaten. The coffee was good would recommend if in the area
Great coffee and tea. Their menu changes fairly regularly, but everything I've had is so tasty. Their plum or pear pancakes were both 😍 and the Fluffin is a reliable bundle of wonderful. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. You can buy coffee beans, crockery, coffee-making tools, and books too.
Update: just had the seasonal apple crumble pancakes. I could die now and be happy. Pictures included. Oh, and the hot chocolates are amazing.
My OH loves their coffee and unexpectedly (for coffee specialists) their jasmine tea is brewed to perfection. I would go there just for the tea. However the food is delicious as well, especially the cakes and pastries which are from Nova, next door. Staff are v friendly and polite and the atmosphere is relaxed. As they say the devil is in the detail and they've bothered to get the detail right.
A half decent spot, with middle of the road roast and good food. No real complaints besides them throwing us out when the place was busy mid-afternoon and they were shutting. Seems like they would want the business, though understand there has to be a cut off time at some point. Location is good, next to the Armories museum and with ample parking options.
Amazing brunch and coffee spot near leeds dock- always have the granola and yogurt but their other menu options also look delish. Really nice chill atmosphere, you don’t feel rushed out at all. Can be busy on the weekend but you can book if you know you are going in advance- highly recommend!
