We tried the new vegan pasta dish which was nice. The service was good but they forgot the olives we ordered. I only realised after we had left that they still charged us for them. The food was also not very warm it was cold before we were half way through our meals. It was quite quiet for a Friday night in Leeds but the building is very nice. They do vegan options for pizzas and pasta as well as soy milk for hot drinks. They also have a vegan desert which is carrot cake.
Lovely staff - they were very accomodating of a large group. The pizza was very nice and as always, loved the starters. My only criticism... rather than overcharging and then having so many offers; make it a little cheaper in the first place
Thrilled to get a booth, without reservation. Waitress really nice and down to earth. Everything cooked perfectly and nothing forgotten (they always used to forget our polenta chips without fail!).
I know it is a chain but i love pizza express. Pizzas are really good and there is always a creative element. This specific location is great, so big from the inside! Cosy and the staff are nice. I know it is a chain, but a good one.
Amazing pizza, friendly staff and nice location. Only minus points for always slow kitchen. But worth the wait!
Meal was quite good and tasty. The service was very fast, even when we were a group of fifteen. Order got mixed up and some things never came, which is costing the review a star. Location is very central and the place looks amazing and well decorated.
Prices are reasonable, we spent about 20 pounds a head give or take.
Great meal, friendly staff. I found a voucher on the pizza express website. Starter and a main for £10.95. I didn't really think I needed a starter when we went, but it was £13.95 for the pizza on its own, so either way it would be cheaper. Safe to say the starter went down well ;)
Lots of tables but still very fast service with good staff
I'd seen a picture of the salad's here recently so I decided to try one with my daughter. We were seated straight away and ordered the Caesar Salads. They were fresh, and not too much greenery that some places seem to dominate the bowl with. eggs, chicken, parmesan shavings and dressing. They were really good and the drinks were good. For a lunch time meal I think the price is a bit on the high side though.
Pizza Express is in the news as being in financial trouble these days, which is sad. Despite (in fact, thanks to) shamelessly emulating its original Soho ambience, Pizza Express succeeds in being comfortable, stylish and, most importantly, perfect at making delicious pizza. This branch has all the ingredients: a slightly quirky ex-warehouse/railway arch location, spiral staircase, cool decor. But it is truly the pizza which makes it worth returning. This was my first visit to this branch and won't be my last because it was perfect.
