A quirky little bar, with a nice seating area overlooking the river aire. Good selection of international beers and spirits behind the bar, staff are very polite and helpful. Food is good, we had the halloumi burger and pulled pork burger with sweet potato fries - both very tasty and arrived within 10 minutes! Added bonus - this place is cheap as chips!!

Have promised myself a trip here since i heard the twisted burger company were setting up here. Havent been to Aire bar for a while, as much as i like the bar i always found it seriously understaffed and i didnt really rate the food. The staffing levels have improved dramatically, 2 waitreses just for food as well as extra staff on the bar. I really like not having to order my food at the bar. The seating is well arranged, lots of tables and chairs and lovely big squishy sofas. A nice effect is that there is a separate dining area if you dont want to be in the bar area. There is also the lovely decked balcony. The twisted burger company, have started a residency at the bar. The biggest problem with the burgers was the huge range and the massive choice of toppings. I opted for the smokin joe frazier, a lovely double chicken patty with bacon, american cheese and a lovely smokey bbq sauce all served in a brioche bun. I opted for sweet potato fries as a side Just fabulous. .

This review is for Twisted Burger Co rather than the pub itself. Twisted Burger Company have opened up residency at aire bar, with the aim of building on the success of their operations at the Harley in Sheffield (great pub venue btw). The idea is fast food style burgers done well, rather than gourmet style thick slabs of beef, and this is reflected in the menu with lots of intersting choices and american style sides (jalapeno poppers, 'slaw' rather than coleslaw). The burgers are the star of the show, juicy despite being thin (every burger comes with at least two pattys), fantastic brioche bun, tasty sauces and toppings. Its the best burger I've tasted in Leeds. Everything is totally customizable and you can build a burger with your own toppings for a pretty similar price to the main menu items which is refreshing to see. One thing to note which isnt entirely clear, the chicken burgers contain pattys rather than chicken breast. Theyre certainly different but personally im not convinced it works, id much prefer a real chicken breast any day of the week. There is also a pork/bacon burger which again contains a patty formed of pork/bacon, these never work in my opinion and I cant say I was taken by the bite I tried stick to the beef (although I hear the Falaf-HELL burger is a fantastic vegi option). The sides are pretty good, the chips are crispy, and the portions are excellent. The coleslaw is fairly standard, however their no may asian slaw is interesting and pretty damn tasty. Best bet is to order a few different ones between a group and dig in! The staff are clearly new and learning to deal with everything so at times it was a little slow, but thats expected with a new place and likely to improve with time. Will definitely be back soon!

Stumbled upon this place whilst exploring Leeds on foot. It was a warm, sunny afternoon so I popped in (and down, as it turns out to be a basement space). Got myself a pint of Black Sheet and found a lovely table on the deck overlooking the River Aire. Polished off my pint, worked on my journal (it was quiet as it was a weekday afternoon), enjoyed the sunshine and the ducks and the airplanes making their approaches in to Leeds Bradford airport. Can't speak to the food but the staff was all quite friendly without being overbearing, the setting was lovely and the beer was good. So, yay, I'm a fan and look forward to my next visit on my next trip to the UK.

I like this place, walked past tons of times and never though to go in but go down the stairs to yet another brick walled bar. This one has the bonus of small area out on the canal. We had it to ourselves what with it being relatively cold but was so nice to be out by the water. Food was nice enough and variety of types of seating inside to suit your mood. Sofas, tables and chairs or picnic tables outside. Imagine it's a nightmare in summer but if you go off peak times its lovley.

Aire Bar is a great little bar with an outside seating area that hangs over the riverside. This is perfect for summer gatherings with a view stretching down the river and nice lighting when dusk comes around. The food is sensibly priced "pub grub" and they have a great selection of beers. The addition of a pool table also earns this bar extra kudos in my book because not enough bars in Leeds have one. I actually have nothing bad to say about Aire Bar - it's never too busy, it's not too pricey, it's not pretentious in any way and it's a somewhere you can visit at the beginning or the end of your night out. A must visit!

+ A really good place to go to sit out on the balcony when the sun is out and look at the River Aire and the city centre skyline with a pint in your hand. Not bad on a night as well. - Could do with more seats. Another good place to stop by when out in Leeds day or night.

This is one of my fave bars for chilling out and sitting down by the river. Its got a nice terrace/veranda bit where you can sit outside in the sunshine and drink beer which they have a good variety of. I'd recommend the Fruli, which is nice fruity strawberry Belgian beer, which is perfect for drinking in the sun. They also do good pub food, big chunky wedges, burgers etc. Get yourself down there!

One thing Leeds lacks is a nice bar with seats outside and this place has got it. Lovely view of the river, best place to be in summer. Big leather sofas insinde. Normal prices for normal drinks, with the exception of the best Pimms in Leeds. Never too packed which is nice for chilled night out. Basic food menu but would never complain. I had breakfast muffin and would recommend it plus their big breakfasts for the weekend cure.

Dropped in on a Friday night for a few drinks to watch the football. Atmosphere was lively and screens a plenty. Good range of beers on tap which is ideal. Was nice to have Weiss beer on tap too which was an added treat.

A proper one-off bar located in a series of vaulted cellars alongside the River Aire. Don't be put off by the entrance and the stairs, be confident you won't be disappointed.

Toilets on the right at the bottom of the steps. A long double bar. Sports TV. A wonderful balcony to enjoy the river Aire.

Not been in for ages since they changed their menu. Food is very good value for money - however it is pretty basic pub grub that’s served fast food style in baskets and greaseproof paper now. Having said that, it was cooked perfectly and didn’t take long to arrive. Staff have always been friendly here, decent enough prices and selection for this part of town too.

One of the most chill places for a drink in Leeds. Great views over the Aire river. Great prices as well. But the thing that bothers me is the loud music.

Aire bar was absolutely fantastic! Cannot fault them. I rented a space out at the bar to host a party, of around 35 people, and the staff were soooo helpful. They helped me put up decorations and just were constantly checking on everything and that it was ok. The space was fab too, lovely view of the river with a terrace and lovely inside. I love this bar anyway but it was even better to host an event. Thank you thank you soooo much to the staff that were on shift on Saturday night :):)

What a hidden gem this bar is. We visited Leeds for the weekend and came across this place. Friendly bar staff and what a amazing breakfast. The manager (sorry we didn't get your name) was friendly and each time we went in came over chatting to us. Would highly recommend a visit if you are ever in leeds
