Phranakhon is one of my all time favourite restaurants and today confirmed that once more. Not only is there an extensive tapas menu, it caters for all food requirements with plenty of vegetarian food also. The staff are very polite and helpful and the food is amazing.
The place is really good! The interior is wonderful, the serving is really fast. I only have 3 stars for the food because the portions are small for the price. Other than that they have a huge variety, the taste is excellent but buy at least 2 if not 3 :) The english language of the staff could be better as well. Other than that, I recommend the place!
Entrance can seem abit strange but trust me it’s a hidden gem. So much choice for food and the quality is out of this world. Service was quick and friendly. The cocktails were pretty good too. All in all very reasonable and very tasty.
It's probably the best tapas thai in Leeds. Plates are small, but enough if you want to sample quite a few different tastes and not get full up on one big dish, service is always excellent, nice and cosy for two, but also cater for bigger parties, get yourself there if you want to sample delicious food 😀
Nice selection to choose from on the menu. We went for a few tapas dishes which were all really tasty. The dining area is really nicely decorated despite it being small.
Despite the outside basement staircase looking uninviting go inside. It’s lovely! And the food is great.
Cosy basement Thai tapas restaurant with pleasing soft tone lighting and decor. Had crispy pork belly and Tom Yam Kung, bot excellently prepared, very tasty.
We love tapas style dining because you can try a variety of dishes. There were plenty of veggie options, we chose 4 dishes plus one steamed rice. The food was really tasty and just the right amount for us although those with large appetites may need more dishes. We had a glass of wine each and the bill was £58 including service charge. The service was good. Don’t be put off by the entrance down some stairs, once inside it is quite cosy.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant! Stunning decor and atmosphere, the food was the best Thai we have ever had. We went on Saturday 14th October for a birthday celebration and everyone had a great time and found ever dish we had to be delicious. The service was impeccable, very attentive waiters, very patient, and polite. Thank you very much, we will be back 😀
Me and my partner were both very impressed by the place. Food was delicious and the atmosphere is so welcoming and pleasant. There was a clear issue with our ResDiary booking but the staff were so friendly and accommodating despite the added stress.
Much love x
This is the best restaurant in Leeds. The food is unbelievably amazing and the restaurant is really atmospheric. You'd never imagine from the exterior as to what lies down the steps to the premises. They will Thai tapas / small plates, ingenious really aa you get to eat lots of delicious foods for your meal.
I forgot to take photos when there on Friday night which is a shame but trust me when I say this is the BEST place in town
very nice and tasty Thai food done in a tapas theme which means you can pick plenty of dishes to try. A really quirky setting which seems to be in a basement and has a nice atmosphere and feel to the place. The staff are friendly and for a dinner time on a Tuesday it still had quite a few customers which is always a good sign. Would definitely go again 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Really lovely food, well priced & quick service. We visited here as a large booking for my friends birthday & the experience was lovely. As someone who loves lots of variety in a meal the small dishes work perfectly for trying lots with little waste left over.
Definitely going to come back again soon!
Took advantage of their lunchtime specials to try them out and was so happy we did. It is a basement location which is cosily decorated and romantically lit. They have a varied selection that isn't overwhelming with options for all dietary needs. The 3 tapas we had each was enough to put us into a food coma but every bite was worth it. Will definitely be returning.
This is a lovely little Thai place tucked away in the basement level on York Street. It was recommendeded to me by a friend and it definitely lived up expectations.
The food was served promptly and the chicken, duck and seafish dishes were particularly good The only down side was that there were no lamb dishes and cocktails available on the day.
would recommend if you are in the area
Not often I award 5 stars but on this occasion it is definately fitting. Food and service were amazing each dish tasted so flavoursome and with the added bonus of them being small tapas sized plates, what's not to like! We will definately be visiting again and recommending to friends 😊
