I was lucky enough to be invited for a sneak preview a couple of days before they opened.... Our hosts for the night were very welcoming and advised us that there were staff walking around with sushi and if we wanted anything hot just to nip up to the counter and ask.  I headed straight for the counter when I came upon their crisps - wasabi and seaweed flavour crisps... Intriguing. I decided to go with a hot breaded prawn for my first taster which was handed to me in a cup with a little bit of sauce at the bottom. Usually £1 each this was a great little thing... I may find it difficult to walk past without buying a couple in the future just for a snack.

Salmon Poke bowl was delicious. I ate in for this and it was nice. The temperature of the food was perfect. I went back again this time for delivery but unfortunately the salmon poke bowl wasn't available this time. The website recommended Korean BBQ beef ramen and stated it was popular. I was very disappointed with it. There were probably 5 slim pieces of beef in the whole dish. I wouldn’t get this one again. The sushi was nice though which my daughter had.

A quick casual dining place for Japanese food. Stepped in for a quick dinner of prawn noodle soup and miso green chicken curry. The food was delicious and we would happily return. Has an extensive range of sushi and salads as well.

Very good tasty sushi and other hot foods. Their sushi is really authentic! The restaurant is located in city centre, very easy to find it. They also have takeout or delivery. The Japanese curry is very delicious. There are some Japanese snacks and desserts in the shop and they definitely worth trying!

Service is fast and staff are always pleasant. Plenty of seating inside but it does get really busy in the lunch hour when I normally eat here. The choice is great and better price points then some competitors nearby. The quality of the sushi isn’t the best but well worth the price.

We (3 of us) went to it at around 7:30 and we ordered 2 boxes of sushi with a bowl of fried noodles. Very reasonable price for such a quality Japanese food. Just cost roughly 20 pounds. Definitely enjoyed our meal and we are pretty full. Didn’t expect a Japanese restaurant with a fast food outlook can offer such delicious while price friendly salmon sushi.

Really delicious noodle soup indeed! I am a Hong Konger (from Asia). I found their noodle soup really tasty! The Tom Yum soup was rich and full of seafood flavour, which was really quite close to what I had in Thailand, just less salty and chilly, which I personally preferred. Remember you will need to wait a minute for the rice noodle to absorb the soup and become soft before you eat it. So I ate a salmon seaweed salad pot first which was also very fresh and yummy! I was staying in Leeds for a few days and sometimes went back to have lunch and ate sushi, which was not bad too, with a miso soup to keep me warm. The miso soup was pretty good and the sushi was something close to what I can get in Hong Kong supermarket but no where near to what I ate in Japan. Frankly speaking Japanese sushi was really difficult to copy which you were eating those fresh fish just next to the ocean and the skilful Japanese chief. So at the price point I think wasabi had already done a great job! I came back every time I visited Leeds!

The quality of the food is always topnotch. The selection was a bit limited on my last visit, but I did go in around 7:30. The seleves probably got cleared out at the start of the dinner rush. Overall, I really rate Wasabi, I always stop in for the doriyaki 👍

My new favorite place to eat. You can select what you want and see it in front of you rather than pictures on a menu. The food was hot and delicious. Staff were friendly. Thank you

Superb sushi at a good price. The till was a bit slow as there weren't enough servers on for the volume of customers. Everyone wanting to grab and go had to wait for those ordering hot dishes from the counter.

Love their sushi variety although less options are available at the end of the day. custard dorayaki is a must try. Hoping they could make the prices a bit more pocket friendly for student.

Are you craving fresh and delicious sushi? Wasabi wouldn't disappoint you. We are regular here. They serve sushi 🍣 and hot food. Their Pumpkin Katsu Curry is the best in town. If you are an NHS worker, you will receive additional discounts on your food! Check it out!

There's a vegan option for pretty much every selection - sushi bento, wakame onigiri and veggie gyoza are my go-to favourites, but there are edamame beans, pumpkin curry, "chick'n" katsu curry and a vegan miso soup. Salads also, I believe, and maybe sweet mochi? A few selection of snacks and nice drinks too - I like the berry Tenzing natural energy drink. Not the cheapest, but the portions are plentiful (and I eat a lot!)

Lovely sushi boxes. My first time at this place. We got the salmon/prawn/tuna/crab cold selection and vegan hot noodle set. Also some salmon bites. NHS blue light card 10% discount upon showing which is great. The place is clean and aesthetically appealing. Definitely will be back again.

It’s a great place to grab a takeaway before you are boarding a train as the food tastes great and is served quickly. The gyozas were a bit lacklustre but the chicken katsu curry was tasty.
