One of the few Japanese restaurants that actually give you a nice big portion to fill you up. Love the decor and the food tastes great. Also for someone like me that hates greasy food they don’t get the gyoza wrong like most other places.

Enjoyed a great meal here on Thursday evening. Good food and plenty of it, and my Vegan daughter was well happy. Result! Relaxing décor and friendly efficient staff, and the plates etc are a delight to eat from.

This place is amazing. Most authentic Japanese restaurant in Leeds and probably the cheapest too. Staff are lovely, decor is great. One of my favourite places to eat in Leeds. If you're looking for real Japanese food then come here not that Issho crap which is fake.

Lovely meal out for our anniversary tonight. My boyfriend eats meat and I'm vegetarian and was looking for somewhere we could both enjoy. I had veg Spring rolls and vegan chicken teriyaki, my boyfriend had sushi and chicken teriyaki, no complaints with anything, we both really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be returning. Only thing Id change next time is that I may need to take a spoon to eat the scraps that fell through my chopsticks lol

Delicious, fresh, and really authentic Japanese food! I had the Sashimi Bento box and the fish was so fresh and really great tasting. Very fair price for what you get. The atmosphere is really lovely too, decoration and little touches are beautiful.

The restaurant is pure Japan, it has a koi pond and sunken tables etc- very authentic looking (I lived in Japan for 2 years so I know what that looks like).

The food is very varied, there's soba and udon but also bento. They aren't 100% authentic but they are definitely as authentic as you could hope to get in the UK. The drinks menu is also very good; Asahi, sake, shochu and umeshu.

My favourite thing about this place is the creativity and uni tatie they have taken in creating traditional Japanese food for vegan customers. I had vegan teriyaki 'chicken' and it was great! The bean curd rolls for starters are also vegan and I must say they sound awful but they taste SOOOO good. Even the meat eaters at the table loved them.

The bill came to just over £70 for four people too, so it's a really reasonable price for specialist Asian cuisine.

I have been here twice now and experienced the same thing both times. I've gone as part of a couple and also as a fairly large group for a birthday celebration. Both times the food was nice enough but the service so very slow. It took far too for each course to arrive and then getting the bill was just painful. I think we ended up spending 4 hours there in total...for a 2 course meal and the bill! I wouldn't go if you're in a hurry.

I don't know enough about Japan to comment on how authentic this restaurant is (although it "looks right"), but the dining experience is great, the cocktails are interesting, and the food, most importantly is absolutely excellent.I strongly recommend trying this restaurant, in its convenient location in the centre near the corn exchange/markets.Most importantly, if you are vegetarian or vegan, the selection is very extensive and it is so very, very tasty.

Highly Recommended. When I worked in Leeds, this is a restaurant that my wife and I used to visit for lunch. The food is great and offers good value for money.I haven't been for a while but my wife and daughter have been recently and had a great meal (I'm extremely jealous). My daughter is only 6 and she can't stop talking about her visit!

Great little place. The food was fantastic and the surroundings (koi pond/pagoda etc) added to the authentic Japanese feel. It's a little tucked and I wouldn't have found it had it not been for urbanspoon. The staff were very friendly and their Japanese robes are a fun feature again making you feel like you are actually in a noodle bar in japan. The only issue I had was after our meal the bill took a very long time to come and we had to ask for it in the end. One of my pet hates when it comes to eating out is waiting for the bill. Other than that though I highly recommend this restaurant.

For my main course I went for the chicken curry and it could almost not be faulted. The chicken was moist, the batter crisp, the sticky rice was perfect and the curry sauce was really really tasty with my only complaint being that the curry was not quite spicy enough but that comes down to personal taste I suppose.

We both agreed that although it was novel sitting on cushions, eating with chopsticks lit by candle light behind screens this didn't distract away from how good the food was. It's not gimmicky; it's not overly done on the decoration; it doesn't feel tacky, it feels like you are sat in somewhere which someone obviously cherishes and they treat their customers with the highest respect. The food is prepared on site and it tastes great. I did get a little overwhelmed by the amount of deep fried things in my box so I probably wouldn't get chicken Katsu again but I would love to try some of the other varieties.

I had an absolutely delicious lunch of assorted Nigiri sushi and my friend had eel. It's a wonderful restaurant with great decor, including fish in a pond right by our table. The service was very polite and helpful. Definitely come here and support an independent restaurant.

I have been twice and neither time, have I been disappointed! Both times I have gone for the Bento box and I enjoyed it that much I am going to struggle to pick something the next time I go! They pack a lot in to such a small place to build the atmosphere and I couldn’t suggest it more to people who enjoy Japanese and Eastern food.

King prawn bento box is an absolute winner with the right portion size and excellent taste . The soft shell crab starter is spot on with the flavours- not too salty or spicy and with the right crunch. A choice of gluten free menu and within walking distance of most car parks . Highly recommended.

Delicious food with a range of options at decent prices regarding the portion sizes! The lychee martini was delicious and service fantastic for my friends birthday - they delivered the cake we brought with a gong and a big sparkler!! Always love it here

The atmosphere and decor of this restaurant is in my opinion what makes it stand out to me, the beautiful use of plants, woodwork and water features really bring this place to life. The food was good, offering a wide range of options for meat eaters and veggie/vegans alike. I attended for the occasion of my friends birthday dinner and it was a real crowd pleaser as well as having a slightly more upscale feel without the prices being extortionate. Among us we samples the sushi, ramens, fried rice and noodle dishes and all were a hit.

Nice Japanese food experience in Leeds. Great selection of vegetarian and vegan versions of classic meaty and seafood meals. Chilled atmosphere and very friendly service are a plus. Recommended for families and romantic dinners alike.

I visited Little Tokyo today, and I had a great time! The shop was unique, offering everything from Japanese snacks to handmade crafts. I ate at a sushi restaurant where the food was fresh and delicious—definitely try the chicken katsu and Ebi Katsu if you go. The area was a bit crowded, but it added to the lively atmosphere. The person who served our table named Laminn, was friendly and we satisfied his service. Overall, a wonderful place to experience a bit of Japan without leaving the city. I’ll be coming back soon.

Such a beautiful restaurant! The layout and uniforms are great, excellent atmosphere and good prices. Service was awful, we ordered drinks, starters and a main meal each. They brought the starter out first, then one of the main meals during the middle of the starter and we had to ask again for our drinks, which finally arrived after all the food ? We would still go back and try again though as it was such a nice atmosphere.

Great Japanese restaurant with an extensive vegan menu. The atmospherics were fantastic with our table being located over a koi pond. I’d recommend reserving a table in advance to get the best experience here. The best service we have had in a while. The staff were very attentive and respectful. Could not find any faults in the overall experience.

Although the price is quite high, the foods are very delicious! My friend and I ordered bento box, not only the main dish taste wonderful, side dishes are also great. Tempura and mixed fry is my favorite ❤️ The environment is comfy too, is a good place for celebration.

The tofu vegetable yaki buck soba was like crack, better than Wagamama’s. I think it was teriyaki sauce that did the trick, I want to know the recipe! Also the courgettes were barbecued so had amazing flavour. Incredible atmosphere inside, so unique with the water feature. Lychee martini, again, like crack. Unfortunately the vegan sushi didn’t arrive but looking forward to trying it next time.

It's a long-established place that I'd somehow never been to before, but we came this time on the recommendation of a friend. So glad we did! The atmosphere and staff are lively and the food was great! The dumplings and gyozas are fresh and tasty and I'd particularly recommend the eel. We came as a walk-in couple on a Sunday afternoon but I suspect the place gets busy and it might be best to book ahead (especially for bigger parties like the birthday group who were in there, who got a sparkly candle and happy birthday music on the sound system). Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing food, brilliant atmosphere and hands down the best salad dressing I've ever tasted! Service isn't bad at all, can just be very slow. Will 100% be back.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is ok, inside there is a small pool with koi fish. The menu has a large selection, the portions are just right, not too big and not too small. If you order a starter and lunch, you should be full, the prices are a bit too high for the amount of food served on the plate. It's worth trying, but not enough to eat every day.

Lovely restaurant, felt very authentic. We had the weekday/midday deal which worked out so cheaply for us to have vegan starters and mains. Both were delicious and great portion sizes too!

Food and ambience lovely. Plenty of time to read the menu but food came quite quickly Already some recommended the lychee cocktail; we both agreed with that. Similarly if you’re undecided the mixed box was good as was the lychee ice cream..
