My first time at sheesh mahal yesterday evening, the staff were fantastic and accommodating and even made me my very own dish that wasn’t on the menu, the food was delicious, the naan was gorgeous and my young daughter loved her korma, highly recommended
Amazing food amazing customers services ,,, been going for at least 20 years not a bad meal or complaint ,, even had my hen do upstairs the owner an staff made my night ❤️
Cinema first, food second....and that is a curry at Sheesh Mahal....so pleased its open for business once again and it didnt disappoint, lovely food, staff friendly, great service. Definitely recommend �
Curry's don't come much better than this. Going there two nights in a row says it all really. Staff are extremely attentive and affable and the food is sublime. Well worth a visit. I recommend the Royal Chicken. A true party on my palate find.
Just back from another visit and wonderful meal.It is now 28 years i have been visiting,tonight it was our daughter's 20th birthday meal.We also took a visitor whose last curry had been in 1985,the team made her a special mild dish from their fabulous menu.Once again a great meal,and at the end a very nice gesture from Azram himself.Sheesh Mahal looking after it's customers once again.Thank you.
I held my 70th Birthday Party, at Azrams, on 22nd July 2018
29 Family and friends came to celebrate. We had a great time, the staff were friendly and on hand all the time, and the food was plentiful and simply delicious !
I really couldn't have asked for more. The biggest surprise came at the end when a surprise Birthday cake was brought in, complete with "firework" candles !!
Thank you was again for making my day so enjoyable.

Went here for a meal with the work girls. The food was excellent and so was the service! We had my friends little boy with us and the owner made sure he was well looked after too!
Don't go to Leeds without visiting this establishment. The food is amazing, and the staff are very good.
The best Indian you'll eat pretty much anywhere. Great friendly atmosphere too with helpful staff especially if it's your first Indian.

Possibly the best Indian in Leeds. Four of us ate here and couldn't believe how good the food was. The staff are really helpful and well informed about the menu. The food is excellent. The place can feel a bit like a bus station with the number of people queing for takeaway but that says more about the quality of the food. If you haven't booked a table then expect to wait a good while. Food 70%. Service and hospitality 80%

The food was amazing, chicken tikka saag was so tender and the garlic nann was exceptional. A added bonus is they sell kirkstall ales on draft

I came here for my 25th birthday with my partner. I’d read reviews online to see if the place would be good (it blew every expectation out of the water.) I disagree with any review that says the service is bad: the service was perfect - we never had a moment where we felt unattended, all the staff looked after us and made sure we knew what was going on and how long the kitchen may take. After our starters were finished we were asked if everything was good and if we were done; one person took out plates and another gentleman gave us new cutlery and plates. The food was exceptional! We enjoyed every single bite of what was given to us and couldn’t even finish it all between the two of us. They kindly packed our leftovers for us which we enjoyed the next day (which were just as delicious.) I would highly recommend dining here: you will be well looked after, the staff are exceptional and the service is perfect. They also offer the perfect drinks to compliment any meal and will offer recommendations if you are unsure.
Really nice curry, staff really friendly and look after you, chicken botu starter bit dry, chicken batting was really good and naan and chapatis very tasty 😋

Been with a colleague whilst in Leeds.... I live in Bradford and not short of Indian restaurants... The warm welcoming... The explaination of dishes as I am a picky eater and service, was prompt and truly pleasant... Food was amazing and made to my liking.... tasty garlic and coriander naans I had the fish and the chicken but not spicy, to suit my taste my friend had the fish with spinach and he took some to the wife to try as he loved his dishes too.... And.... a very reasonable price for Leeds..... will consider going the extra mile to repeat the 5 star experience at Shish Mahal

What a truly amazing experience. The food is absolutely phenomenal and the service to par. My first visit however my husband has been visiting with his parents since he was a child. I honestly cannot wait to return. Thank you Asram you really are the perfect host.

We visited this fine establishment on the 27th of November, we had visited before the Boxing Day floods but not been since the reopening.
For starters we had seekh kebab, fish pakora, vegetable samosas and onion bhaji (with a proverbial gallon of sauce) and all of them were exquisite.
For main I had the chicken and spinach garlic, the seasoning was perfectly balanced, just the right amount of spice and the exquisite burst of sweet tangy flavour from the baby garlic cloves were a definite highlight. The rest of my company had chicken tikka masala (very good, one of the best he has ever eaten), lamb and spinach (amazing, very lean lamb and perfectly cooked and tempered for her chosen heat rating) and the paneer with potato and spinach (simply amazing) all accompanied with 1 portion of pilau rice (between 4 was a good sized portion) and a garlic and coriander naan, which again was a good size.
Deserts were shared between us, we had a chocolate bomb kind of thing (name escapes me and like an amateur I forgot the picture!) and a half coconut filled with coconut ice cream.
For drinks we had 2 pints of monsoon, 2 pints of cobra and a pint of kingfisher, in total it came to £81.20, which we all thought was astounding value given the quality of the food and the size of the portions.
We were on a trip to Arcade Clubs Leeds and at the last minute we decided to have an Indian. After looking around we found Sheesh Mahal looked OK, so we called them and they found space for 8 of us on a Saturday night. Once we arrived the service and staff were fantastic. The food was great and the price was very reasonable!!!! I only wish we had an Indian restaurant as good as this near us. Would 100% recommend!!!!!
We had some food delivered tonight for a home birthday celebration. Came in good time! About 40 minutes from order to delivery. Food was so so good, very authentic tasting. I recommend the chicken tikka parathi and the Bombay potatoes. Would defo order again.

I was really impressed. The food was delicious and the staff very attentive.
The waiter knew the menu really well and we were asked about any allergies and how spicy we enjoyed our food. They tailored the dishes to our preference and checked in with us to make sure everything was to our liking. We had a really lovely evening meal here and I will definitely go back and recommend to others.
The Butter Chicken was my favourite.

A fantastic meal and brilliant service. Azram is such a welcoming host, he makes you feel like a returning friend and so relaxed, just the way it should be! The food is just superb, between us we had fish pakora starter... chicken dopiaza, chicken biryani and lamb nihari...so much flavour and cooked perfectly. All the staff were polite, friendly and we never felt rushed. All in all a fabulous meal and experience, we will definitely be back...sooner than the 35 years it took for our first visit!!
