Great stop for a Sunday brekkie/brunch! I ordered the vegan breakfast, so much food and very filling! There were also 2 vegan cake options which I got to take away. Again big portions. Staff were pleasant, prices were reasonable, food was good and service was quick.

Finally got to visit Wapentake for lunch after hearing many good things, and was hugely impressed. A good selection of food very reasonably priced, a good selection of craft beers, a great space, and very friendly and efficient service. Everything we tried from the lunch menu was excellent, and I now can't wait to come back and visit in the evening. Highly recommended.

A great place for a breakfast, lunch etc. V good beer range also (and Gin). The antithesis of corporatism.

Love, love, love this little gem of a place. It is cool, comfortable and VERY welcoming. One of my favourite places to go in Leeds. The cakes are delicious and the coffee always good! The staff are always very friendly too. Cannot recommend highly enough

so lovely! cozy cafe downstairs and upstairs there is quieter seating- dog friendly too! order at the bar and the service is very quick and everyone seems friendly. ran out of lamb on our meal so we settled for pork- just as good! the roast potatoes i’d personally give a 4-5, not super great or memorable but the gravy. the gravy is a different story. incredible mate. hats off for real. great amount too :) REALLY good gravy. still thinking about it. presentation is beautiful and the yorkshires are generously sized. had to book on a sunday. great service and friendly staff- even got extra roasties as they were spare from the kitchen i assume. thanks guys :)

Lovely little place, worth the walk to find it. Had my 1st ever Yorkshire pudding burger! Huge, very tasty and vegan options too, the chips were delicious. Wine was really good also. Very much recommended.

Really nice place for breakfast. Great coffee and full Yorkshire and Vegan breakfast. Smashed avocado on Vegan breakfast was excellent. There is a full bar with draught beers too but bit early for that this time. Great service and helpful friendly staff

Stopped here for brunch on my trip to Leeds. It's a 5 mins walking distance from the Leeds coach station which is very convenient. Excellent food, good portions, and quick service. The place looks a bit run down but it has a cozy ambience! Slightly on the pricey side but the quality of food compensates for it. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic little establishment. Big enough venue to get a bit of an atmosphere and it not feel overcrowded, small enough to feel nice and cozy. Stopped here for a drink and a bite to eat and wasn’t disappointed. Good selection of beers and other alcoholic drinks plus selection of hot drinks, the coffee seemed popular. all typical Leeds pricing so nothing out of the ordinary. Had to try the ‘Yorkshire pudding burger’ although the beef was typically burger meat and my mate did enjoy I had the chicken and was less burger, more like grilled chicken breast, which wasn’t a bad thing, very tasty, chips/wedges were good, fluffy inside bit of crunch on the outside, just as I’d like them. If there was any disappointment it would have to be the accompanying gravy, there just wasn’t enough. All very good though, would definitely go back and try other things off the menu or even pop in for a coffee or beer.

If you like Yorkshire puddings then I'd say you have to try this burger from Wapentake. The truth is that you can definitely find a better burger elsewhere, but I believe this is something you should try at least once. It was something new and different, and I thoroughly enjoyed. It may not be my go-to for lunch going forward, but I enjoyed my meal and the service.

A great restaurant with food that’s exceptional and is great value. I was pleased with the Yorkshire pudding burger special (chicken with Stilton and bacon). The service was a little slow, though servers were friendly and trying their absolute best, it felt they were just a bit understaffed for the number of customers.

The food was really nice and didn't take long to arrive. The staff were very friendly and it was a good atmosphere. The decor was very unique with lots of beer mats stuck to the walls. They had seating inside, upstairs, outside on the front and back so they really do have space when you think it's full.

Lovely gem of a place. Pub style looks, laid back cafe/restaurant vibe. Vegan and gluten free requests all taken in the stride of the staff who are very friendly, caring and welcoming. Menu a bit different, check in advance, great tastes.

I really liked the idea of a burger between Yorkshire puddings. It's really messy to eat with the gravy.

A great little pub, with good people, good vibes and good food. Would certainly go back next time I’m in Leeds and need somewhere dog-friendly to eat and drink.
