This place honestly Is the best restaurant I've ever been to. From the moment we walked in the door we knew it would be good. The staff are great and the recommendation was spot on. Lamb chops to start were 10/10 as were the onion bajhis. Mains were so so so good. It's worth paying for a flight from Dublin just to try the food here.
Great food and great service - the pricing is great for the portions deffo recommend one of the nicest Indians I’ve had in Leeds city by far!
A good curry restaurant, both in terms of food and atmosphere, and it provided a good weekday evening meal. Some of the staff did come across a little blunt, but on the whole the service was brilliant and very welcoming. The pickles with the popadoms were a little watery to my taste and none seemed to be spicy, but tasty all the same. We were in a large group but the service of both starters and mains was fast. Upon serving the main dishes each one was clearly announced which often isn’t the case when in a group and it helped the size of the table.
Portion sizes were large, spice levels were just right and the filled naans had a good amount of filling. The menu was large and extensive with a big selection of both traditional dishes as well as an extensive range of ‘specials’. The atmosphere was spot on, with the place being full but not overly noisy. I’d definitely return.
Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for an Indian dinner in Leeds. The authentic cooking from the chef is the highlight of Nawaab’s. I opted for the Nirahli Special (boneless chicken in a smooth creamy sauce) accompanied by pilau rice and garlic naan with a jug of mango lassi. You could taste that everything was freshly made to order, which made the garlic naan absolutely divine. Mango lassi was a tad on the sweet side but that may be because I had a whole jug to myself! Went here on a solo dinner and the staff had great banter and made me feel very comfortable! Look forward to visiting in the future 10/10
Had a lovely time here. The atmosphere is nice and it wasnt too bad to find parking nearby. The starters were very good. The main meat curry would have been better if it was more hot like I requested. The chicken curry was good.
Nawaab is a proper old school curry house in the City Centre, even down to the handwritten bill at the end! The service was fast and efficent, even on a busy Saturday night. The Chicken Handi was really good although I've had better starters elsewhere. Would definitely still recommend.

Just heading home after an excellent curry. We called in on a Saturday evening in December at 16.45 and asked to book a table for 4 at 18.45. We thought we'd have no chance as we'd tried to book 'on the hoof' in the past and also tried to book in advance for Christmas meal in a couple of weeks but had been knocked back due to the restaurant being full. I didn't have much hope, but this time we were lucky!!
Everything was spot on. Service great, orders taken quickly, hot plates and food spot on. Starters plentiful and mains perfectly spiced. All agreed it was the best curry we've had for a long time. We've eaten here a few times in the past and always been very happy with food and service. Very pleased we could get in at short notice and will definitely return. Thanks to all for an excellent meal.
Brilliant food, definitely not shy with the dips on side. Curry hit the spot especially paired with an ice cold cobra to wash it down. Jay and Ali provided a stellar service making sure we were well looked after. 10/10 pwah.
