Charming and offers a lovely atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating area. It's perfect for families, shining especially bright in the sunlight. A fantastic spot for a relaxed meal.
Wonderful Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Pork and crackling perfect. Good drinks, service was excellent staff were amazing attentive and quick, atmosphere was great, dog friendly too would definitely recommend highly. 😉👍
We have eaten at this pub a few times now and always really enjoyed the food. More recently we were kindly invited to try out some of the gorgeous new menu (August 2023) a we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. So much so they wondered if they even needed to clean our plates 😅🤩

Have eaten here multiple times and I have to say this is one of the best pubs I’ve ever been to, from the changing seasonal atmosphere and menus to the friendly staff and amazing drink choice. This pub has not let me down once, my only regret is that I can’t eat here more often!
Love this pub. It's like the perfect pub should you look for a definition in the dictionary. Popped in Halloween for a drink with the family. The work these guys put in to the decor is phenomenal!

Someone knows what they are doing back in the kitchen. Food was well prepared and seasoned, high quality, and served hot. The service was spot on as well! We walked nearly 30 mins and back on the public paths and trails to get there. You can drive too, of course. A nice treat.
We were looking for a pub with nice food and a good outdoor play area and we found one.
The staff were friendly and although it was busy, the service was quick.

First visit in a very long time, staff were very friendly, small menu but well presented.
The only thing for us that it was very quiet and on the cool side on a cold day, which is not the best time to judge.
Food was nice, service was good, so all in all we were happy going back there.
It would have been the perfect meal, only disappointing because the mange tout hadn't been stringed first, but the chicken, leek & mushroom pie was really tasty, as were the seasonal veg and mash. The food is excellent and the waiters are very professional and so kind. I love the decor and atmosphere of the place. The exteriors are great for kids too.

Really lovely old pub set in very nice area. Gardens were lovely as well. On the day we visited there was a marquee outside with greek food. Had gyros , chicken and halloumi ones, stuffed vine leaves and lamb koftas. All very good. Dog friendly.
5 minutes walking distance to find this lovely nearby place. Constantly visiting every week, top of the list where I go for drink lunch and dinner !

Probably the best chicken pie, I’ve ever had! Everything about the food was perfect and worth the little bit of a wait. My mum had fish and chips and was equally impressed. Nice traditional pub opposite a cricket green, not sure it gets more Yorkshire than this.
