My new stop if I’m travelling as it’s just round corner from the train station.
Great bar, vats with fresh beer opposite the bar. Friendly staff who can give great recommendations based on what you like
The girl with pink hair who served me sorted me out some train beers which went down very well.
Thoroughly recommend
If you like pizzas, Czech beer and people watching then this is the place for you. Somebody passed the window wearing a chewbacca tshirt and it made my day
I highly recommend Tapped. They've got an amazing selection of beers, and what's even better are the pizzas.. Super tasty, lots of choice and very very good value.. 18 inch pizza for £16! Brilliant.
Great food perfectly cooked, staff very polite and friendly, beer spot on and good atmosphere.
Great selection of ales! Friendly staff and lovely pizza (the hot one is my favourite but appraoch with caution!) One of Leeds best!
Lovely place. Popped in after a bit off retail therapy. The lad behind the bar was knowledgeable about the different types of beer that were not too strong tasting for my daughter, I myself had Yorkshire blackout ( not for the faint hearted ). Not too busy but there were several customers.
Loved this place. Lots of real ale choice for hubby, an extensive gin menu for me and the pizzas! They do an amazing vegan pizza.
Excellent little place for a amazing selection of beers and fantastic selection of handmade fresh pizzas! Would reccomend this to anyone who loves their beer!
Really good beer. The staff know which ones are vegan too, which is very handy if you need the info.
Want to talk about a cheeky pint and be amazed by the selection?
Look no further. Don't pop in if your looking for Carling cause this place has many better beers on tap.
Enjoy it.
We liked this American-style pub so much we visited it twice in one day.
They serve an indecision-inducing 27 draft beers (13 cask ales and 14 craft keg beers) alongside dozens of international bottled beers. There are, of course, non-beer options for non-beer lovers.
With lots of seating and a few booths around the place, during quieter times of day it's a terrifically chilled hang out. It was great to see the large metal beer tanks (which they use) right there in the bar area.
If you're feeling peckish you can order stone-baked pizzas here which are made from scratch on site. They come in 7, 12 and 18" sizes - the largest much be seen to be believed.
The rugby was showing on their big TV (the main reason we returned) and although it was busy, with a bit of luck managed to get a table to watch whilst scoffing down pizza before catching the train.
A recommended place to visit if you've a weakness for great beer.
My first time in here.
I had read Justin R's Review and I was eager to give this place a try.
First impressions are that there are a lot of places to sit.
Bar stools against the bar. Stools against the walls. Tall tables with stools. Regular tables with chairs.
One thing that is a bit weird is the bar has no beer/ lager pumps. Everything is on the wall behind the bar.
So after you ask for a drink, mine was an Oak Stout (very nice), the bar keep turns their back on you to pour your drink.
I don't know if I like this.
Don't get me wrong the bar staff are really friendly and even let me try a couple of drinks before I made my selection.
It is just that any banter between staff and patrons stops while the drink is being poured.
I think the bar layout is a bit bland.
But the beer is really really good.
So I say bring your own colour to the bar.
There wasn't a huge amount of people in here when I came in and the noise levels were quite high. So could get quite distracting when the place becomes really busy.
They also do pizzas too. From £4 for a 7 inch pizza, £8 for a 12 and £11 for an 18 inch pizza or there abouts. Not bad for city centre prices.
It didn't try one so maybe someone could let me know what they are like?
The beer is good and all the prices are clearly marked.
Just a pity the bar area is so bland.
Due to using Yelp I found this little gem
hiding on Boar Lane. I've never seen such a range of good beers in one place (outside a beer festival).
It's a bit on the expensive side, but it's not just any bar it's a proper brewery too.
I love the concept of this place, I'm looking forward to visiting the others (maybe just for one or two).
The bar must've cost a few quid !!
A good selection of beers on tap (27 taps), split roughly half and half between cask and keg serving UK and international beers, including their own on site brews. Good bottled selection as well. Pizzas are good and tasty.
The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. They look to have spent a fair bit on the decor with good quality leather. It does make a change from the 'shabby' not so chic that is currently a la mode.
The bar staff are pleasant but seem inexperienced and lack the in depth knowledge that you might expect of such a place and there is a bit of a pot luck element with the drink you ordered versus the drink you get at times. I would say that you perhaps dont get the attention and service of the other specialist beer bars in Leeds but you can't knock the selection of beers on offer and for me that's a winner.
Amazing place for real ale/beer and freshly made pizza's. Fabulous atmosphere, excellent value for money, cool, relaxed vibe and friendly, welcoming staff. Definately worth a visit, better than any Italian restaurant. Will return without a doubt... p.s. It's dog friendly too!!!
This has to be one of the most interesting little places I've ever been to. The food is truly amazing. Lots of locally made beer and cider. Cosy atmosphere and friendly service
Fantastic bar with a great range of both cask and kegged beers, Prices reasonable for the City Centre. The pizzas are really good and would highly recommend.
Great atmosphere. Originally came in for a pint or two, but saw a delicious pizza on the menu and thought - absolutely! Highly recommended the Tikka Freaka pizza and halloumi flatbread.
Pooped in for a drink whilst waiting for the train after a comedy club night elsewhere. There were 4 of us, we all chose different drink and as you do had a taste of each other’s and they were all 5 star, will definitely be coming in again and trying more of the drinks menu !

Only popped in for a drink as we were early for a reservation nearby, however we stayed for dinner and we'll be back again, some really nice IPA's and the pizzas were top notch too!
Fantastic city centre brew pub where you sit next to the fermentation vessels.
Brilliant staff tremendous atmosphere and a wide choice of ales brewed on the premises. What more could you want will definitely be going back.
Excellent choice on the Tap with a few favourites and their own brews.
