Fantastic Saturday lunch at The Reliance 🍸

1) Ambiance (0.75/1) - Spacious, large group friendly, welcoming and really cozy. They have quite a few different sections for seating and the couch seats are just so comfy!

2) Food (1/1) - We were 2 of us and while my friend had Fish and chips with some Pineapple juice ; I had their Salami sandwich in Ciabbata with Pesto mayonnaise tomatoes and some rockets🥙
Soft fish, crunchy batter, seasoned chips, fresh bread and meat with a lovely sauce and apple cider What a nice lunch that was! By the time we finished our lunch, they had run out of their Rhubarb mille-fuille so will ned to go back for that 🙊

3) Service (0.75/1) - Very friendly. Though it took a while for the food to arrive, it was worth the wait :)

4) Innovation and techniques (0.75/1) - I've been here before with my lab mates and have noticed that they update their menu quite often keeping the food exciting for customers. Their food looks fresh and appealing and the efforts are clear on the plate served to you!

5) VFM (0.75/1) - The sandwich was nearly £6 and the fish and chips were nearly £11. The cider was another £5. A decent meal with cozy ambiance and good service - I would call that a good deal :) Overall - 4/5 Do visit reliance if you are looking for some interesting Pub food 🥂

Great uncomplicated British food. Though, they serve pheasant, so it's not "pub food".

We had Christmas dinner here and it was good.

What to order: Christmas dinner or Erdinger battered haddock & twice cooked chips £11.75

When to go: evenings and weekends

What makes it unique: Upmarket British food

If you keep walking up past Sela and North Bar, past the Grand Theatre and across the road with Mojo’s on it, the one where the Chinese supermarket used to be back in the day, you get to a fairly intimidating slip road, a lot of hurtling traffic and a fair amount of climate-changing fug. If you make it across the road alive, you’ll end up on North Street, or ‘the’ North Street as some wag of a vandal has renamed it, and eventually, you’ll get to The Reliance.

The service was amazing and there was only one main waitress who made you feel very welcome. She was happy to engage you in conversation but not obtrusive at all. The relaxed atmosphere is refreshing and it was nice to be able to compliment the chef to his face as we left the restaurant. As we were leaving the waitress asked our names and said we really made her night and hoped to see us again soon, a lovely happy young woman who we hope is there the next time we visit.

We had a 40th birthday party in the private dining room and the staff were great before the day with planning and menu options. On the day the staff were so lovely. The food was delicious!! Especially the salmon and the beef! Presentation was beautiful. There were 13 of us so there was plenty of room. For wheelchair accessibility, there are 4 steps leading up to the private dining room which is fine if you can do that, but would be difficult if completely wheelchair bound. We managed fine.

Great spot for Sunday lunch and dog lovers. Darcey our waitress was excellent and the food was superb. Sunday lunch choices were excellent and highly recommend this for others. One tip for Three’s a Crowd - I couldn’t find on your website that you were dog friendly until I rang

Amazing food, atmosphere and staff! First time to Three's a Crowd Leeds and it's as good as the Harrogate one! Atmosphere was lovely. Food was incredible - the best pork belly I've ever had. Complementary dessert drink for my birthday was a lovely surprise. Thank you to Alex our waitress who made our evening perfect!

I recently visited this restaurant under the new owner and had a lobster feast. The lobster was impeccably cooked, and the cocktails were delightful. The starters were a bit basic, but the desserts were delicious. However, I did find the portions to be on the smaller side, and the prices were a little high. On the bright side, the customer service was excellent and quick. I also appreciated that the bar area was dog-friendly, which added a nice touch to the overall experience.

Excellent Sunday Lunch in a lovely, light, airy restaurant. Service was very good, plenty of staff who were very happy to help. Sunday Lunch was generally very good. Vegetables could have done with more seasoning and were a little bland but the meat was absolute perfection. We'd certainly not be put off visiting again.

Had a lovely three course meal at Three's a Crowd for restaurant week! Delicious food and interesting tastes! All very nicely presented and served! Friendly staff and a very lively restaurant! Quite small portions so didn't leave feeling full unfortunately and had to order extra sides making it wuite pricey.

— This review is for The Reliance — First time visiting here in years. Used to come here and get the gammon, egg and chips all the time but they stopped doing it and we almost forgot about it. Went for a Sunday lunch. Inside was nice and well spaced out. 100% honest review: I got the beef roast, it was a little cold and hard to cut unfortunately, but tasted nice. The potatoes could’ve been a little softer for me, and the gravy thicker. Greens and carrot lovely. Controversially I’m not the biggest fan of Yorkshire puds, it was nice but a little over done for me personally. My other party members let me sample their lamb and pork. Lamb was the my favourite, then pork, then beef. Enjoyed with a nice bottle of red wine, and table chips which were great. We liked our chocolate pot dessert, the apple cheesecake was nice, the tart a little small. Final point: I remember when I used to visit often the fish and chips would be unavailable, this time it was again. Chicken roast option would be much appreciated. Would definitely return.

Note: This review is for The Reliance, Three's a Crowd have effectively hijacked and renamed the old entry and instantly come onto the scene with a high rating, the following may not accurately reflect your experience with the new business and you should check the latest reviews. (I wish Three's a Crowd all the best, I just think they should have created a new entry) --------------------------- Incredibly friendly staff, great service and a top-notch Sunday roast. The lamb option was incredibly tasty, the nut roast packed with taste and not dry at all like some can be. Veg cooked perfectly and a good selection, optional cauliflower cheese well worth the investment. Kids enjoyed the fish and chips (chips very good!) and swapped out the peas for carrot from the roast menu. No specific kids menu but they are happy to make smaller versions of anything on the regular one. Fussy eaters might struggle with this so check in advance to prevent tears. Great selection of beers and other drinks, pleasant ambience and just an all round jolly nice place to visit. (being so close to Wen's worried me a little given their bizarre reaction to my review of the experience there but I escaped any retribution).

Such a shame I’ve already eaten as the extensive menu looks amazing although a little over the top for a quiet Monday lunchtime. The cask ale selection (all brewed locally) is great for a place this size - I assume The Reliance Session Pale is a tribute to its former guise?
