Beautifully attentive staff, wine lovely, atmosphere was very quiet on a Tuesday evening, but I preferred that.
May I also add, the food very good prices for the quality!
Food was delicious, both of us will be returning and making this a monthly thing.
Starters,mains,sides,dessert all homemade and delicious.
Starters we had was the garlic bread with cheese, which was the size of an actual normal pizza! Gorgeous
And duck pate which came with the hard toasted bread and salad leaves and had some homemade juice on. Amazing.
Mains. The carbonara was very very tasty, and so was the lasagne... but our side, the chips were very very good! We expected normal restraunt style fries. And if wasn't they were homemade like deep fried.
And the dessert.. the vanilla ice cream was amazing... can tell not some crap from a tub like some places. This was melt in your mouth creamy.
And the homemade creme brulee was also very creamy and delicious.
Thanks once again viva, we will be back! Xx
My mum treated me to a meal here after visiting a few years ago and always remembering how nice the food was. And I have to say it didn't disappoint. We asked for a window seat when booking (as we like to be nosy and people watch). When we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our window table and immediately made to feel at home. The food is delicious, so fresh and the portion sizes are very generous. Thank you for a lovely night, we'll definitely be returning soon!
The staff were really friendly and the food was fantastic I had the garlic prawns and they were to die for Will be back
My friends and I are regulars at this gorgeous restaurant! We have never had an average meal, let alone a bad one! The food is delicious, our favourites being the tomato garlic bread and taglioni supreme! The service is fantastic, all the staff are so welcoming and really look after us! Gani makes sure everyone is happy; a real gem in a city full of chain restaurants
I regularly visit here and have been keen to share with family and friends. I like to think myself as a foody and this restaurant is quite simply the best. Given the wide and extensive options in Leeds I don’t say this lightly. Food is amazing (veal dishes are my personal favourite) excellent selection of wine for all price ranges and always a warm and friendly welcome and service.
Lovely food, lovely people, very good value for money and a proper trattoria atmosphere. Can highly recommend this little place.
I have visited this restaurant twice this week on separate occasions to celebrate my 60th birthday the staff are wonderful cannot do enough for you the restaurant has a wonderful setting lovely pictures I would recommend it to anyone thank you Susie Sue Archer xx
Lovely friendly restaurant with great food. All three of us enjoyed our starters, mains and I loved my dessert

Love this place, called in for a pre theatre meal and as always fabulous food, fantastic attentive service and wonderful atmosphere. Forget all the big chain restaurants in Leeds and get yourself to Viva for 1st class authentic Italian food.
My fella and I went out to leeds last night and stumbled upon viva. So happy that we did, friday night, valentines weekend and we only had a 10 minute wait for a table! Staff were super friendly as soon as we walked in. The young lady at the bar was so lovely and checked to ensure we could get a table, made us feel at home. The front of house staff were great! The food was immense! Fantastic food, great wine, lovely service! We didnt feel rushed and we stayed for a while drinking and enjoying the atmosphere. Alomst felt like we werent in leeds! We really enjoyed it and we will definately be back again! Thankyou!! X

After watching the chef and staff creating delicious looking meals for the last two days from my Airbnb window I knew I had to have dinner at Viva Italian restaurant. The food was INCREDIBLE!! You can tell how much pride and love the chef has for his craft. One thing that really impressed me also was how clean his kitchen was!! Top notch service too!
Went in by chance and it turned out to be a fantastic find. Very friendly staff, we did not have a reservation but got a table after about 10 minutes. The food was excellent and a good selection of Italian and other choices. We will definitely be back when in Leeds again.
Nice little restaurant. Great service from the manager. Plenty of specials on the menu and every person at our table really enjoyed the food. My steak was cooked to perfection. The Barbera wine was delightful. Great little restaurant
Best Italian I’ve been to in a while. The food was incredible and the service was great too. We had a bruschetta and duck pate for starters and a lasagna and pasta with a crab sauce for the main dishes. They were all delicious, the tomato sauce was particularly incredible, I’m still thinking about it.
Had the most amazing meal last night to celebrate an aunts birthday, the food was spectacular, the atmosphere nice and quiet and the staff brilliant. We all had the 3 course meal, I had the garlic mushrooms (god do I stink this morning) they were the nicest garlic mushrooms I’ve ever had, then the pollo Milanese which was equally as good (can’t compare it as I’ve never had it before) then for dessert the crepe brûlée, whoever made that needs a trophy because that was perfection in a ramekin!
We also had a bottle of wine to share between three. The host/waiter was very professional, friendly and talkative and after we’d finished also got us a shot of limoncello on the house - very kind! Definetly be back again.
Wow. Simply wow. I found this place close to the hotel on a business trip after spending the evening with colleagues eating at the hotel, followed by the local Sainsbury’s for snacks because the food was inedible. all the others, early night. Me… I’m hungry. I go for a walk and I find this place a half hour before closing, but what a find, food is exceptional.
Little restaurant, which looks from the outside to seat 10 people actually larger than expected and seats 30 confutably which is deceiving.
The food was amazing. I will be bragging to my colleagues that they should listen to me in future, like I know what I am talking about. Great service happy to have a customer on his own for one table. I had a garlic bread with cheese and tomato, which was great, this was a full pizza size cut into 8 pieces. Followed by fillet steak, which comes with mixed veg, but I wanted a rocket and Parmesan side salad. All 5 star. I will definitely be back. Pair it with a pint of birra moretti ( I couldn’t finish because I was too full) and you won’t go wrong. Ok I can see they want to close up now so I am gong to head of off…..perhaps after another bit of this garlic bread……side note upon leaving they offered me a free lemon chello shot for the road. What a nice bunch. Totally made my evening…. Thank you so much
We had done the walking tour and passed Viva earlier and it was bustling. We decided to return to have late lunch. By this time it was quiet so we easily got a table for 3. The food was fabulous. My lasagne was very tasty and my stepdaughter had the Fran salad starter as main course. She said it was excellent flavours . Can't fault the service. Very attentive . Authentic little Italian

I thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience at Viva in Leeds. Among various Italian restaurants I've visited, this one stands out as the best, particularly in terms of the food quality. For starters, I had the delicious fresh homemade soup, followed by the exquisite Lasagna Pasticciata al Forno as my main course, and concluded with a heavenly homemade tiramisu for dessert. I highly recommend giving Viva a try anytime you're in Leeds. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
I’m hoping you meet Gani anytime you visit. He’s such a lovely person.
Four of us had a fantastic meal here one of us being vegetarian had a good selection of food, the homemade lasagne was lovely, and you can't visit an Italian restaurant without trying the homemade tiramisu Perfect.
Real home cooked food friendly staff you won't be disappointed.
This restaurant is outstanding. I took my daughter here for her 20th birthday celebration. All the food was so authentic and stunning. The staff were so lovely and friendly, there was an older gentleman in and he was being very difficult but the staff were so patient and kind with him . We had a set 3 course meal which was amazing value for money. Lovely atmosphere with the decor and music and lovely to see Italian customers in .(I always think it speaks highly of a restaurant if the same nationality eat there.)
My mom and I went for my 20th birthday. We both had the 3 course menu. For starters, I had a gorgeous garlic pizza bread. My lasagna for main was beautiful and rich. For dessert we both had the tiramisu which was amazing! The service was lovely the restaurant was very quiet so the food came out quickly. I would give this place a 10/10 was a lovely place to have my birthday meal!
The most AMAZING Italian restaurant. The only other time iv had Italian food this nice was in Italy. The manager managed to get me a table without booking. Food came out very quickly and tasted incredible. Highly recommend!!!
