We drive past a couple of chip shops to get to Solent’s Finest, the clues in the name as to why! Really good size portions. Delicious fish, not at all greasy. I’ve never had the feeling that a meal was greasy after having food from here. 2 fish and a regular chips does two of us easily. Recommended.
Their batter on the fish is the best around. Very food portion sizes and prices. Staff are always friendly

I went to this fish and chip shop. Simple the best I've had in Hampshire. I've been back there times since. The staff were friendly and helpful giving me my food just as I requested. The food was abundant, and I was a happy bunny. I will be returning again soon.

Spotlessly clean premises, food always cooked fresh to order. Highly recommend the "All Day" Cod with chips, great price & never tasted food like it anywhere else!!

Staff are so lovely, friendly service and the food is consistently good. I like that it's not greasy and you don't get any manky chips. The fish batter is light and unlike other local places, I eat it all!! (even though I try to be disciplined in my diet, its my indulgence now and again).
Had fish cake, pea fritter and chips at lunchtime. The chips are hands down the best chips iv had in a while. Will be using again

Had 2 portions of cod and chips and it was super. Can easily say it’s the best fish and chips I have had in a long time. The batter was light and crispy and the fish was delicious. Perfectly cooked chips too, highly recommend.
Best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Chips were so tasty and fish was fresh with a light crispy batter and served with a slice of lemon. Friendly team and good prices too. Would definitely recommend.
