I read a review on Google which stated that this restaurant only had a level 1 hygiene rating. I panicked, having just finished my meal there, and did my own research- just want to inform anyone reading this that the restaurant does not have a level 1 hygiene rating, it has a level 4/5, which is good enough for me!
Food was pretty good and staff were friendly enough, although they didn’t seem too happy about us bringing the buggy into the restaurant.
A lot of these reviews on here are from a person visiting just once, however, I'm a local and I've been going to the Lee Tandoori for the past 20 years. I can't recommend them highly enough. The food, the service and the atmosphere at the restaurant has always been excellent.
The same people have owned it for a long while and have always been so kind and accommodating.
Visited here recently with my family for a meal. The food is authentic Indian and reminded me of my trip back in India. Had a long chat with the manager who is a very lovely man and I wish him the very best.
The staff all went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant experience. And also treated myself to a cheeky beer to go with my lovely chicken madras.
Will definitely be back soon.

Seven of us visited the lee tandoori on Tuesday 25th July 2023. The food was excellent, the service was excellent and very friendly. We had a great time and will definitely go back again. Thanks for a terrific evening

And now 2yrs on another great meal, this time in the restaurant with a group reunion of ex work colleagues. Fabulous food...the Naga Lamb is not for the faint hearted but delicious. Others had Mint Chicken, Veg thali, and a host of other dishes...everyone enjoyed their food and we will be back!
Excellent food. Top 5 Madras of all time. Food fresh and hot. Great unobtrusive polite service. Great value for money with a complimtary drink. Highly recommended.
Great food cooked to your requirements, this is our regular Indian restaurant.
Although we had booked this place we were still treated with little respect and had to wait for 2 hours before getting our meal. This did give us time to chat and catch up but apart from the original poppadoms we ordered, there was no other conversation. We did ask and was told 'on it's way', many times. When the food arrived, it was lovely but by that time many were 'past hungry' so I felt disappointed and angry. Sort it out guys. If you can't cater for large crowds, 10, then don't accept them. As an after thought, we were offered plenty of free Baileys but many were driving so pointless. 😏
We have been coming here for many years and never had a bad meal. Had another really good meal on Saturday as a family get-together. Very attentive hard working staff also. The only downside is the very dated decor. The place is well overdue for a refurb.
