Superb, freshly prepared, delicious food. Lovely, friendly atmosphere and excellent service in the restaurant. Also having a family, we use the takeaway delivery service which means we can enjoy the gorgeous restaurant standard food at home without the hassle of getting babysitters. Highly recommended
We've been using the Blue Orchid for over 3 years and have found the food fantastic both eating in and when they deliver to us. There's not much we haven't tried on the menu and it's always very good. The team at Blue orchid make you feel very welcome and look after you very well. Whether you live in Ledbury or are visiting it's worth a try if you like authentic Thai cuisine. We're soon moving out of Ledbury and this place will definitely be one of the things we miss most, in fact it's only 30mins away from where we're moving so may make the trip just for this :-)

Great fresh tasting food and nice people. Popped in and ordered and was told it would be around 40 minutes so went for a pint in the Shoe. They called to say it was ready after about 25 minutes. Had to go with what basically everyone in Ledbury has (sweet and sour chicken balls and chicken fried rice). The chicken balls were decent and there were plenty for 2 people. Way better than Golden Gate's old greasy offerings and certainly a lot better than Wing On/Ming Hing (but I'd rather eat cat food than go there again). Rice was good and tasted nice and fresh. The rice portions are smaller than in other places and you'd need a rice each if you normally like a belly buster. Chips are chunky. The prawn crackers are Thai crackers which are a bit more fishy than I'm used to. My wife thought they were really good but I wasn't a massive fan.
I saw a few negative reviews on Facebook from their first weekend of opening and thought they were harsh. Ledbury hasn't had a decent Chinese takeaway for quite some time now and back when there were 3 or 4 they were always busy on weekends. Unsurprising people had long waits on the first weekend of opening.
Excellent food and very friendly service. Only improving point would be to change the confusing entrance. No signage on the main door , it's not clear there is a proper entrance to the restaurant. The take away is very busy If you sit near the bar/ desk.
The food was beautiful and so fresh and fragrant.
We do not live in Ledbury but are regular visitors to the town .
Couldn’t wait to return to the blue orchid as we used it regularly when it was the other side of town .
Food was absolutely delicious as always, all 6 of us had different dishes and everyone was delighted with what they chose the food was also pipping hot .
Lovely friendly owner who checked all was ok with our meal when leaving .
Must say though we missed your beautiful blue lidded serving dishes 😀

Fantastic food and service. Despite being absolutely rushed off their feet and still getting used to operating again, the team are managing to fulfill hundreds of orders each evening. Yes there have been a few teething problems but that's to be expected on opening weekend! Get a grip you miserable 'downgraders'
The food is freshly prepared and cooked to order, so a wait is to be expected for such a good quality takeaway.
My lad is really fussy about what he eats and rated everything 10 out of 10.
So good to have Mark, Rung and the rest of the team back in town providing their delicious food.
I cannot praise them enough. Their food is absolutely superb, authentic and delicious and that’s coming from a very fussy eater. There may sometimes be a little wait for the food but only to be expected as it’s so popular and all food is freshly prepared and cooked on the premises. If you haven’t tried it I would urge you to do so.
Great food, but despite ordering for a certain time had to wait there for 25 minutes to collect🙁
I ordered the Chinese mix platter, beef masamam and chips - everything was great - BBQ ribs were some of the best I’ve had 👌🏻

Really lovely food and a real treat for your taste buds, great selection of dishes no matter what you love to eat from spicy right through to simply tasty.
Lovely people and can't do enough to make your experience memorable.
They have only been doing take always during this trying time but the food has been lovely.
It is with a heavy heart they have told me that they will be returning home to retire and the restaurant and take away will be closing.

Quirky little place which surprised me with the quality of the food. Lovely Chinese or Thai with a genial owner. Love the serving dishes especially when you eat what's in them! Good size portions to. Enjoy it, we did.
I have been a few times to this restaurant and have noticed the wait for food can take a long time which upsets some people. This niggle aside the food is fantastic and worth the wait and staff are friendly. It is a small restaurant so probably best to book if you are thinking of going. Take away is an option to at this restaurant. I would definitely recommend.
We visited the Blue Orchid this evening and our young waitress was exceptionally helpful and patient in advising us re gluten free option. . Hopefully she will recall our visit as I would like to thank her for helping to make our evening so enjoyable.

The chicken panang was wonderfully balanced in flavour and spice. Would highly recommend to anybody looking for a warm friendly place to spend an evening.
Tasty standard Thai (and Chinese food). Your normal Thai dishes with several vegetarian options - a Tofu and veg curry and also a veggie pad Thai would also make a nice addition
Despite living in Newnt it's worth the drive to get a takeaway from here. It's also great to be able to get good Thai food. Highly recommended.
