What can I say? Travelling through Lechlade, I stopped for a cheeky bag of chips and although the shop was busy the chips were cooked to perfection, golden brown, crisp outer but not crunchy, soft inner, add a good malt vinegar and salt and honestly the best chips I have had in a while.

Love this place. We usually buy from here on a Friday night when the husband is due home. He travels from Kelmscot, collects the grub and drives back to Stanford and the food is still really hot. Lovely tasty food. 100% recommend.
Pleasantly surprised by this place, relied on them twice on a recent visit. Telephoned ahead, all ready on arrival. Large portions for a reasonable price and above all decent food!
Excellent chippy (fish and chip shop). Large selection, but I went for the fish and chips and it was excellent.
There is a small restaurant at the rear where they serve if you want to eat in.
Absolute bargain OAP special of fish, chips, mushy peas and a pot of tea for £8:50.

I use Monica's Plaice quite often the Service is the best around the area and if I have been out with my Granddaughter to events the first choice for a good quality meal and a relaxing environment is Monica's, sometimes we sit in which I can recommend, or we park up and eat in my car.
Extremely good food, well cooked, good portions with fantastic, helpful and friendly staff. Set in a very well set up and spotlessly clean restaurant, as well as toilets. I will definitely be paying another visit, well worth the 30 mile drive.
