Very busy pub with a nice log fire just what you need on a chilly night. Good choice off of beer and ales did not try the wine. Cosy village pub with good service and friendly staff.
Lovely old style pub. Good beer and good food.
Great local pub with the most friendly landlady, staff and beers.
Traditional English pub in Bookham with a lovely beer garden. Very friendly staff.
Friendly staff. Freshly prepared good quality pub food.
Cosy village pub with nice outdoor seating. Lunch sandwiches were really nice and reasonably priced; landlady was friendly and helpful, answering questions I had about the area. I would definitely return.
A great place if you like your pubs to be traditional. Oak beams, fireplace and good beer on tap
Excellent service and food for my Dads 90th birthday 13/10. My first visit to the pub in 45 years .
Thanks to the team for making it special.
Was there for the Sunday top quality.
A true British pub.
I would highly recommend a trip to this
Establishment
They have beer though not as many as in the posted picture!
We came here for a Sunday lunch and it was absolutely fantastic. I hade the pork it was well cooked, plenty of vegetables and gravy. I then had the Lemon tart with plenty of cream. The service was prompt by the pleasant staff. Relaxed and full of customers enjoying the pub. Well worth a visit.
A great village pub with friendly staff and regulars. The outside space is superb on a sunny day, come with friends or come on your own and you will be made to feel very welcome. The best pub in Bookham!
Cracking little traditional pub on the outskirts of the Village - nice beers kept well and very friendly
The Anchor is a superb pub. Ideally if you are a little older! Landlords Paul and Debbie very hospitable. No loud music no 1 arm bandit machines. Good selection of beers, well kept. A pub like they used to be!
Lovely pub, small but not crowded. Authentic but not grubby. Local but welcoming. Ale is kept excellently, I didn't eat but food looked very good
Wow, a proper olde English village pub. Quaint, with lovely staff who are on the ball. Beer and wines were superb. Thankfully, not a "foody" establishment, just a PROPER pub.
