ANDREA. Visitedfor the first time last night. Lovely, comfortable decor. Friendly helpful staff. Delicious food )try the pork collar) Deferrence between a cook and a chef!!! On the pricey side but somewhere thats a bit special. have it on good authority (my husband) that the beer was excellent. Will definitely visit again.

Had the most amazing meal I've had in along time tonight. The crab claws where stunning and the belly pork to die for. The toilets are out of character with rest of the decor and need updating, but with that being my only criticism I will definatley be returning! Can't wait for these guys to renovate the Moorings, it should be amazing. So pleased I found this place, I would definatley recommend a visit or ten. Don't change a thing (except the toilets) lol!!

A LITTLE GEM!!. Went to on Tuesday night, the main restaurant was really busy but they managed to fit us in. Had Welsh rarebit to start, the egg was really runny which is always a good start but the toast maybe just a bit on the soggy side. We both had the ribeye for main; it really was to die for, homemade chips and béarnaise. What more could I ask for. Definitely going back, but will book next time. What a gem of a find!

Food & ambience good, vfm ?. Recently had two 3 course meals on a saturday night on a first visit. Thought the ambience was very nice. menu a little restictive. The chicken liver starter my partner had was very good, my potted crab was to cold and tasteless. My partners chicken supreme was good and so was my cornish plaice (cooked to perfection) however it came with just boiled potatoes and lettuce very unintresting - in essence spoilt by attention to detail and a bit pricey for what it was. Luckily we had a side order of chips which were out of this world, both the treacle tart and the dark chocolate puddings were very good. Overall the food was above average to good but the place falls between to stools it is a pub which has pretentions of being a restaurant and charges accordingly a little pricey for what was served. Might go back to give it another chance

I never saw the Stag before the refurbishment, but I've been assured that it's a transformation!

I've been to The Stag 3 times now and always had a pleasant experience. You can simply go for a drink or go for the full-blown menu. You won't be disappointed. I also like the decor and attention to detail (always fresh flowers in the entrance bar area, free WiFi).

I do think though that the price bracket £10-15 is not in line with the post-refurnishment menu. I'd say The Stag is now within the £20-£25 bracket.

Great atmosphere.. My partner and i popped into The Stag on the way home from work on Friday night. We had one poussin which was tender and full of flavour and one Aubrey Allen steak which was cooked to perfection. With a bottle of wine the bill came to just under £35. Great value! We shall definitely return!!!

Beef to die for..... Had a lovely Aubrey Allen rump steak here at lunch, really was to die for. Decor was a vast improvement on before. The service started a little slow but then was smooth an unobtrusive. Greta lunch venue! We shall return...

Absolutely superb!. My partner and I had a wonderful meal here last night. Decor a great improvement to pervious 'Stags Head'. Waitresses wonderful and well trained. Food simple, fresh and very effective. The only criticism would be is the wine list needs more selection. Other than that absolutely superb! Would recommend to all.

RURAL DELIGHT!. What a breath of fresh air to find this best kept secret in this idyllic village in the heart of rural Warwickshire. At last a traditional country pub that serves amazing food ... but I guess that's no surprise as the chefs and management are all Raymond Blanc trained. Fab decor after its designer refurb yet very reasonably priced though with starters at £5 and mains from £9. Can recommend the cheese souffle presented in a parmesan cream and white wine sauce. Think I may have gone to heaven and back. Local ales for the boys which was a hit with my hubbie. Lots of al fresco dining planned - a definite date for the summer.

I love this pub. It’s one of my favourites. Dog friendly and up until now people who seem to visit this seem friendly and of good character. Not much seating inside for drinking (most of its restaurant). Outside there is plenty of space and seats. A cool gin bar open in the corner (not always open) Ordering drinks can be slow sometimes as it always seems busy with lots of food being served. Just wish there was a little bit more “hustle” to make sure people are not waiting.

This pub is very smart and modern. Nice area outside to sit and watch the kids play. It has however lost its charm. We used to go many years ago and it was a great village pub with lots of cats 😀 Now it is another, good, pub bistro.

Stopped here for drinks and a bite to eat whilst visiting the area. A great outside seating area - with nice shaded umbrella/ parasols. The waiting staff were all excellent, and very quick to grab our drinks orders. When we were ready to eat, we asked if there was space inside, which they found for us. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Our food arrived. 2 of us had "all the trimmings" whilst others chose the pork pie. The pork pie was amazing - really tasty! Everyone agreed their food was great, as were the desserts. So much so - I was unable to get any photos. What a great pub - it's a shame we don't live closer, as this would become our most favourite of locals! Fantastic - keep up the good work team 👏

One of best gastro pubs in Warwickshire. We walked from Leamington Spa through the fields to build up an appetite. We took an uber back for £8. I had the pheasant roast, which was a special. It was good. Really tender. The veg is always good at the Stag.

Popped in here for dinner whilst visiting the area and had a staggeringly good meal. We had the rump steak and sea bream- the steak is probably the best steak I've ever had at a pub or restaurant and the fish was lovely too. Superb.

Not the first time we’ve eaten here and it won’t be the last. The festive menu had a really nice piece of hake with crushed potatoes also a divine belly pork with a jus I could’ve drunk by the bucket full. If I could find any fault I think the portion sizes are very slightly in the small size. Service was good and swift as usual.

A fantastic Sunday lunch for a large group of us. It's a little pricey but totally worth it as the food was excellent, a large portion and can't fault the service. I'd love to visit again when in the area.

Fab pub set in the county side. Took the doggies outside and it’s very smart both outside and in. The staff are very well presented and super friendly including towards the dogs. The platter was fantastic.

Excellent and very attentive service & in our view, in the current climate, still good value for what were delicious roasts ( 2 x beef & 2 x lamb) . Accompanying vegetables were a very good choice as were the starter & dessert menus. Good to see the restaurant very full. It was nice to meet Ollie, the General Manager who was working there that day. Have been going there for many years & look forward to our next visit.

Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch here, there were 4 of us and we all enjoyed our meals, I'm afraid you dropped a star for the roast potatoes, they needed a lot longer in the oven and had no crispy edges other than that it was lovely

I can't move. That's how stuffed I am as I write this review. Had a lovely meal at The Stag at Offchurch today and was not disappointed. Started with the cheese soufflé, followed by slow braised pork belly with bubble & squeak in a cider jus, finishing with vanilla ice cream and brownie bites. That cheese soufflé, mm, beyond delicious, especially with the leeks in cream sauce. I pork belly was really well cooked, tender with incredible (and well salted) crackling - full disclosure, the cider jus was a bit sweet for my taste but my husband loved it! Finally, the brownie bites can only be described as decadence of the kind that makes you feel guilty for about 5 seconds before you give in to it. It's rich, gooey and dark. It's not inexpensive but definitely worth it for a nice meal out.
