A little piece of quilters paradise set on a rural farm in Cornwall. Leave your troubles by the gate and escape to admire a cottage industry at its best. All made possible by the passion, dedication and hard work of Jo and her Staff. The quilters shop is a delight with a lovely range of carefully selected fabrics and other items to tempt you. Stop and enjoy the cottage garden and beautiful view of the valley whilst you head to the cafe and tea room for delicious, honest home cooked breakfast, lunch or afternoon cream tea whilst you ponder your next project or view the workshops on offer. Enjoy the attention to detail and atmosphere that makes this place so special and please help to keep it this way for those who appreciate it.

I have just returned from a wonderful weekend at Cowslip. Where we belatedly celebrated my mums 60th birthday, we spent the day having a lesson with Jo Colwill. We loved Cowslip in it's idilic location. We have learnt so much and are really pleased with our project. We have come home inspired by Jo. Cowslip is a must for any sewing enthusiast. All staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food in the cafe was so delicious, we visited both days! The shop has a wonderful range of fabric and sewing bits. Jo is so helpful and generous with her time and skills. We will be back.

I can not recommend Jo and her team strongly enough, you are made to feel extremely welcome with all your needs catered for during the day, even if you divert slightly . Everyone on the workshop is given individual time as and when needed and Jo and her team ensure you have acheived and leave with a good understanding. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Thank you very much.

A wonderful experience. Everything about it wonderful. Beware of sat navs that like to send you off down single track roads; easy to find from Launceston itself. And clearly signposted. Will be going again!!

4 of us met for a birthday lunch, we all ordered different things from the lunch menu and all thoroughly enjoyed it. A great place to meet, take in the beautiful view and have a potter around the few shops. We will be back.

This place is so great, my wife and I held our wedding party here. No, the owner and Andrew, head chef could not be more accommodating. Great food in the cafe. All freshly produced, not bought in and served. Staff are really friendly too. Dogs welcome.

On our way to Falmouth, from Derbyshire. A little bit of research discovered the hidden gem, that is Cowslip. A very warm welcome, delicious food, chocolate cake that melts in your mouth and the best pot of tea we’ve had for ages! Dogs welcome, on the lead, both inside and out…in the beautiful garden. Clean water provided for them almost immediately. Thank you!

As usual, the cowslip cafe gave us everything we could have asked for from a lazy relaxed lunch. Great service, a good laugh with the very helpful and patient staff, and wonderful food. The gazebo is the best seat in the house whatever the weather work stunning views over Launceston and fields. A quick post prandial wander around the pottery and fabric shops brought out our inner crafter. One day we will take a lesson in their workshops. All in all, its a fantastic lunch spot with plenty of room to eat, chat and relax.

Always good food and lovely people. Also very interesting to look round the other buildings. One slight downside if you have a low to the ground car, it might not like the track down to it. A normal car is fine.

Went here for a cream tea. Superb, tasty, warm scones with a crisp bottom, plus plenty of jam and clotted cream and a really nice pot of tea. Lovely cafe with outside seating with nice views over the surrounding countryside. Highly recommended

What can I say other than excellent on everything, and the view towards Launceston is amazing. It is well worth a visit just for the food and the patchwork is a bonus.
