Decent selection of foods, also 4 types of beef meat to choose from.
The staff was welcoming. The table was nicely prepared for our booking time.
They have a selection of wine too.
The foods were beautifully presented on the plate and the flavours were nice.
This place definitely has a fine dining feeling to offer including the atmosphere too.
The best meal I have ever eaten, ever... and I don't say that lightly! Honestly we have not stopped talking about it since we ate there last night. The food is incredible! Confit pig cheek starter was beautiful, black pudding melted in your mouth and the sauce complimented it very well. We both opted for steak for main and the glaze on the meat gave it an incredibly intense flavour, charred to perfection and cooked to our exact requests.
The service is fantastic, the 2 main members of staff that looked after us were attentive and friendly without being overbearing. We had our little one with us and they spoke to her directly, not something you see often and she was incredibly happy about it. It made her night! Thanks so much Dexter's for a fantastic evening, we will be back and we will be telling everyone to come visit!
Where do I start ? ... amazing food amazing staff and atmosphere. THE BEST ROAST EVER . We all chose beef we had all the best time. So as for my best way to describe the food. Smooth creamy swede , cheesy perfectly cook cauli cheese, so many roasties , carrot and cabbage were also cooked to perfection. Beautiful glossy proper beefy gravy . Loveky size yorkshire and hone made tasty stuffing . Highly reccomended and also Highly reccomended you book .
We had a wonderful family meal for nine of us last night at Brown's. We couldn't have had better. We were not rushed and all our food arrived at the same time with steaks cooked to different tastes. The desserts were stunning. We and our dogs were made to feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. But then, having been to Brown's several times we knew it would be like this and could tell the family that they were in for a treat.
The restaurant was booked as a surprise for my birthday after recommendation from a family member.
We came a little early but were seated within minutes. Fabulous service, very friendly, nothing to be a trouble.
Deco and atmosphere nice with good music.
The food is exquisite. We did have prawns for starters and lamb and rumpstake for main. Lamb was cooked to perfection ( don't like it overdone) grilled courgette on bed of pesto with olives and feta. Beautiful, work of art.
I have to say it's a gem in a small place. I recommend to everyone to try. I had a fabulous day, and dinner was a fantastic finish of my birthday weekend. Thank you 😊
We visited for Sunday day lunch and feel the venue and staff need credit for an outstanding meal!
The portion sizes are very generous, and all food was of great quality. It's 1 of the best Sunday lunches we've experienced.
Staff were also fantastic, with good attention and relaxed interaction.
Overall - great value for money and if ever we're in the area again, then we will be sure to visit.
My only gripe was being told by a gentleman on arrival that the 'Hotel Parking' was for hotel guests. In my opinion, we were still guests of the business. Some guests visit for food, other guests stay the night. Maybe think of rephrasing or different signage if lunch guests are not welcome in the car park. Not going to change how fantastic everything else was, but small tweaks can make it even better.
Considering they have suffered a recent fire and had a reduced menu in place, the quality of the food produced was excellent. The setting and staff were also extremely welcoming and were superb with our 9 month old boy.

Expensive but worth every penny - I would recommend it for a special occasion. It was my husband's birthday and so we pushed the boat out and had a chateaubriand between us. It was excellent - well-flavoured and cooked exactly as requested. The starters and side dishes were also very good (except for the broccoli - a bit underwhelming). We were too full for dessert.....
We visited Laugharne for 2 days and had food at Dexter’s for a birthday meal, and me and partner enjoyed everything about this restaurant! Honestly it was the best steak I’ve ever had, along with stunning desserts😍the food was on another level!!
The atmosphere is nice and relaxing and music played not too loud. We will definitely be returning and thanks to the lovely staff also, which brought super quick service.
We had a great first visit to Dexters at Browns. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we entered. Food was beautiful, we chose the chateaubriand and it did not disappoint. Staff were friendly and professional. I highly recommend a visit here.
