Been here five times and each time the food, staff and ambience have been spectacular. Can't recommend the place enough, my new favourite place to eat!
First time I'd eaten at The Punch since the refurbishment/new management and it didn't disappoint. I had the vegetarian Roquefort, onion and pomegranate glazed tart tatin and can honestly say it's one of the best vegetarian meals I've ever had; such a wonderful combination of flavours and showed real thought by the chef as often us veggies can often be overlooked on the menu. The side order of chunky chips went down a treat too! The change in management has breathed new life into this pub, and the new outdoor seating area is going to be a winner this summer

I booked the function room for my friends farewell get together on a Saturday evening. The room was a fantastic space for us and the venue team had laid it out perfectly. The buffet food was superb and the service from the staff made the evening so easy and enjoyable. We all had a great evening together. Thanks to all of the team at the Punchbowl for giving my friends such a memerable send off!
Great few hours yesterday at the Punchbowl. Decided to wrap up warm and take a snowy walk from Dorridge and had a great warm reception, they even did us a little food outside the usual kitchen times. Highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic. Amazing management, which I already new, lovely staff, unbelievable food and fantastic atmosphere in a beautifully refurbished venue. I will most definitely be a regular here and would highly recommend it to all.

We came here for a birthday celebration table of 14 people couldn't fault the service absolutely brilliant! The atmosphere was buzzing from start to finish we were here from 6-10.30pm / decor and staff were very friendly and helpful so very attentive food was spectacular no complaints very tasty!! and lots of empty plates it will be one of our locals from now on ! Thank you for such a memorable birthday celebration we can't stop talking about it !!! we will be back very soon! Thanks again

Absolutely amazing food! Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! Went for Sunday lunch and this was honestly the best I've ever had. £21 for the beef roast, and it is absolutely worth every penny. If you live in the area or happen to be passing through, take the time to eat at the punch bowl as it it incredible!
One of our favourite country pub-restaurants. It is a regular watering hole for us, when we venture out on the bicycles. Excellent food and great choices for all tastes. Lovely décor and a great location.
Only area of improvement is that they need to serve better coffee. Very limited choice of coffees. Otherwise its an excellent place in the countryside.

We stayed at the Punch Bowl on 18 September. We had given an arrival time in time for dinner at 1930 but whilst driving south from Edinburgh it became apparent that we would be arriving some time after this. A telephone call from the M6 was answered quickly and we were told that there would be no problem.
On arrival we were met by Helen who welcomed us warmly and showed us to our rooms. A quick wash and brush up and we went down to the bar for a much needed drink served by Stefan, Doombar on tap no less. We were served a first rate meal which could not be faulted. We took some time over the meal but we never felt that we were taking too long and delaying the closing of the dining room.
The rooms were immaculate and we all had an excellent night in most comfortable beds. Breakfast in the morning was something that would be hard to beat. So much choice and all cooked to perfection.
The Punch Bowl is hidden away in the midst of countryside but it is really well worth seeking it out and we cannot recommend it more strongly. Excellent decor, cheerful and friendly staff, perfect food - what more could you want….and on top of all this so reasonably priced. We cannot wait to find an excuse to return. Came here on a Friday evening for dinner and everything was brilliant! The service was great, very attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was warm and cosy and the food was superb. We had the scallops from the specials menu and they were delightful and cooked perfectly, the chef kindly prepared the risotto from the main menu as a starter portion and it was delicious and full of flavour.
For mains we had the glazed gammon and fillet of beef and both were amazing, everything on the plate was cooked to perfection and all of the ingredients complimented one another. The wine was also beautiful and a good selection to choose from. I have to say this is one of the best meals I have had lately and I can’t wait to rush back! A beautiful country pub with fantastic food and friendly service 😊

Lovely pub with spacious rooms, there are both inside and outside eating areas with a varied menu. Breakfast had lots of choice and the staff are really friendly. Would definitely visit again when in the area
First time we had eaten there and I have to say it was a fabulous evening... It was a lovely atmosphere despite the whole august day being dull and drizzly, it was buzzing and warm.... The food was top notch.. we paid out and had the cote de boeuf... Beautifully cooked... Service was great... Lovely Bistro quality..Good choice of Gins at the Bar also.. 👍👌

7 of us ate here on a Friday night, all different ages and tastes in food. The food was delicious and we were looked after very well. Stephanie, our waitress, was absolutely amazing. Her smile did not fade once and she was very patient, despite a few of us varying the items on the menu. She worked very hard, was supremely attentive without being intrusive. I would highly recommend.
Great place for a meal with family, friends, or a date. Great cosy n chic decor, very nice vibe and great mixed crowd of all ages.
The steak here was excellent, the sea bass was good but the liver was slightly overcooked. Service was a little slow at times but the staff were very friendly and obliging.
Loved everything here. Room was lovely, very spacious, tea & coffee making facilities in room. Large bathroom and excellent shower. Food was delicious and restaurant decor was modern & relaxing. Service was very good with friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

Staying in the local area we wanted somewhere for a late lunch and are so glad we came across this superb restaurant! As a couple we had 2 each courses and 1 alcoholic drink each, which came to £82 and it was worth every penny. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was really excellent, imaginative and bursting full of flavour. Thoroughly recommended and we'd definitely dine there again when in the area.
We had then full English and the veggie version, very yummy and recommend. We love visiting the Punch Bowl for any meal.
