The Shepherd and Dog was a fab find. The Sunday lamb roasts were amazing, such great flavour. We added the cauliflower cheese to our order and it did not disappoint. One of the best roasts we've had out! Mia our waitress was super attentive and sweet.
A delicious Sunday lunch to celebrate my Mums birthday. I highly recommend the beef. Roast potatoes and gravy (plenty of it) were really good too. Service was engaging and attentive. Thank you.
Nice lunch in a good location. Seemed busy dont know if that's normal..but service still good. My partner thought chips a bit dry..I loved mine no oily taste or coating on them. Steak cooked as ordered. Waitress was really friendly would recommend.
Good food and spot on service. Very pleasant atmosphere, a real village pub/ restaurant.

Lovely warm welcome, friendly and helpful staff. We came in just on the nose at 14.30 knowing that lunch could well be over. The lady serving us popped her head into the kitchen to see if the kitchen could do anything and they kindly offered sandwiches. Thank you so much because my husband was getti

Once again the old retired men were out. We were treated very politely and made most welcome. The food was really well done - from a proper pie of the day (all round softcrust pastry, no soggy bottom) to a shepherds pie made with slow cooked meat rather than mince. First time I have been there for around 20 years as we moved away. Great food (Sunday Roast), great beer, great value, and nothing too much trouble. I wish them well
The friendly staff made sure our first visit probably won’t be our last. Lots of menu choices, good atmosphere and doggo friendly.
Excellent experience. Such good value for money. Lovely smiley staff. Kind hearted waitress. Helped elderly patron with phone and access home. Fresh food. Brilliant.
Good service, friendly staff and the meal was excellent.
We arrived at short notice for an evening meal following a family funeral (party of 10 diners). Staff were really welcoming, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Fabulous food. A big thank you - will definitely come again.
