I've read other reviews and I have to say I do not agree with some of the negative ones. I always order Haddock and chips. Fish is cooked fresh. I have never had soggy, fatty chips, it's all been delicious.
Had chippy lunch to celebrate my hubbys 70th. I only trusted Taylors. Lovely young woman served us the fish, scampi, fish roe, Cornish pasty, mushy peas and chips. All the food was enjoyed by my fussy family. Thank goodness. I dont eat fish and chips so ate the tasty pasty. Thank you Taylors!!

Popped in at lunch for Haddock & Chips. Paid (cash only) and was given a 7 minute eta (very precise).
Returned 7 mins later and tucked into a perfectly cooked battered Haddock.
The batter was not greasy, it was light and almost subtlety sweet.

Of all the chipshops i have ever visited, this is the best. Perfect chips, crispy batter and curry sauce which i could drink on its own. Place hasn't changed a bit in over 20 years and the staff have not aged a day. Its almost as if you are walking in to a magical tempura themed fairy tale.

This was the first time that I have used Taylor's Fish Bar which was quite busy but I did not have long to wait before being served. Friendly and polite service and the cod and chips were good.
Just beat the queues, you get loads of chips for what you order and they are great, not soggy, not fried, just right.
