The Perch really is our favourite place to be, the atmosphere, the brilliant staff can’t do enough for you, and having our wedding reception there last weekend was the best decision ever! We had an amazing day from start to finish, a huge massive thank you to you all for making our day the success it was. Damien was amazing with the food, working with us to get the right menu for us and Joe helping us to get just the right atmosphere and looking after us from beginning to end. Thank you Thank you Thank you, love you guys!
I walked to perch on the beach today with my 3 dogs one of which is a 6 month puppy just wanted to say what a great dog friendly place this is the staff were great and carried my food for me so I could sit outside and all 3 dogs were given a treat great atmosphere great staff very welcoming see you again soon
I've eaten here a handful of times aswell as attending my friends wedding reception here too.
The food is fantastic.
Great service and a wonderful location.
The place is almost always busy (it seems) but that, to me, is always a good sign
It’s busy but worth the wait! Great atmosphere just don’t be in a rush and enjoy the view. Nice staff. We were impressed with the food. Will go again.
We went to the first free movie night last night . It was so good. We had pizza which was delicious and a tub of penny sweets . We took our own chairs and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We will definitely be back next Friday to enjoy the next movie . So lovely to have something like this in lancing ! Well done the perch !!!
Great food and service, menu has enough choice for everyone and I thought was great value for money. Relaxed atmosphere and lovely views looking out to sea. Will definitely be going back again
Fantastic ! A real find, we will return . Great place, scrummy food and lovely staff
Fantastic food and views. Dog friendly. Huge fish and chips, perfectly cooked steak and eggs. Skin on fries were delicious. Definitely returning on a dog walk. Only downside is it can get busy so worth booking ahead.
Loved the vibe of this bistro/cafe right on the beach. Very dog friendly which is a plus. Service was superb. The menu was limited but portions very generous. We had the kilo if mussels which were delicious and came with both chips and bread which you need to mop up the pint of broth! Slightly off five stars only because the mussels were over cooked and too many broken shell fragments in it. However, they made up for it with the fresh cooked churros and ice cream. Cakes looked amazing and plenty of vegan options if needed.
We visited as a group of three on a weekday evening.
We found the Perch on Lancing Beach by accident, and we are very happy that we did. It is a glass fronted building located directly on the beach, there is a pay and display car park located a short walk away.
We were warmly greeted by staff, and we sat at a table by the window overlooking the sea. The seats are not the most comfortable, sadly, one of the only negative points of our visit.
We ordered drinks and food, as a note, the evening menu is restricted to their homemade pizzas and salads only. Service is not the quickest, but it didn't cause too much of an issue, and when our food arrived, it was well worth the wait. The pizzas are amazing, good-sized, and tasted so good. The Middle Feast salad bowl was phenomenal, such an eclectic mix of flavours, and very fresh. Only note would be suggesting the flat bread could be warmed up, then it would be perfect.
We highly recommend a visit to the Perch on Lancing Beach, and will most definitely be visiting again.
One of the best lunches I've had out for a while. Great choice, brilliant portions and healthy veggie options too. Our waitress Dionne, deserves a raise! - really attentive service and she made for a lovely atmosphere. A visit highly recommended 👌
Lovely location by the beach, selective yet balanced menu, delicious food and was served with a smile without much of a delay! If your are in Lancing and fancy a good meal with a beautiful view - Perch on Lancing Beach is definitely recommended 👌🏼
We booked a table for our son's second birthday and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. We brought a cake for him and others to have as a dessert which was no trouble and was brought out when we asked for it with added candles! The food was just excellent as usual. Most of our party hadn't been before and they all enjoyed it thoroughly. Our server Dionne was just brilliant.
A regular visitor to The Perch, always happy to come back! Although it was super busy on Sunday morning, the staff were superb. Attentive, friendly, nothing too much trouble. Food, as always, was delicious! Mark Leeson was one of our servers, really lovely, happy, caring member of staff.
Went for breakfast and had a delicious meal. I had the waffles with bacon, syrup and pecans. Was pleasantly surprised that there was plenty of syrup and bacon! So often I've been out and there's never enough syrup so this was perfect. Waffles tasted lovely and were crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle with no stodgyness.
Staff were very friendly and attentive :)
My friends and I stopped by at the Perch on a long beach walk from Worthing to Shoreham-By-Sea. We arrived around 2pm on a Saturday and despite the place being busy and not having a reservation, the staff did their best to get a table for us (there were 11 of us in total). All the staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was ace. I had the fish and chips which were so crispy and delicious.
We had a lovely lunch here today (Oct 25, '23) . My sister is in a wheelchair and the service was fantastic. Absolutely no fuss was made just seamless support - thank you Mark and Dionne. A gentle check that we had what we needed. Plenty of space and time given to us arriving and leaving.
My sister's eating needs are not obvious but the team were very responsive.
It was, frankly a joy to eat there . Sometimes restaurants may not understand or be willing to take just a little time to understand needs. Just because you're in a wheel chair doesn't mean that's the whole story.
Thank you team!
Best wishes
Julie
