Always consistent and very polite. Take out is always ready and delicious. I've always had a good experience here and is a family favorite.
Can be difficult too pick up food due parking on the street. Eating at the restaurant is no problem due to parking lot locations close proximity.

Chris must have been sniffing glue or something his dog left him. Covina has thrived for more than eleven years because it brought delicious Mexican dishes to Lancaster. So Chris can enjoy the road kill, and the rest will enjoy the ethnic flavors of Lancaster city.

This is by far the best and most authentic Mexican cuisine in Lancaster. I walked by so many times, and finally went in for lunch today. What a gem! The enchiladas verses were delicioso, and the rice and beans were nice. The portions and prices were both reasonable. I didn't walk out of there feeling like I had just consumed an elephant. This is on par with Mexican restaurantes I have visited I'm New Mexico and the Southwest. Muy bueno!

Delicious Food Every Time!. I've been going here since they opened and have never been disappointed! Great, friendly, little hole-in-the-wall place. Used to be a "best-kept secret" but it's now it's always bustling during peak hours. The taco selections are terrific. My faves are the tilapia & chorizo. Love their table sauces & fresh guacamole. Great homemade "real food-not junk food" flavor to everything. I am stunned at some of the negative reviews - I'm wondering if it isn't some kind of mistake? Is this the same restaurant we're talking about on Prince St. in Lancaster, PA? Weird! Oh, well. I highly recommend them.

Good but small. My husband and i went to dinner here. the tables were so close together that it was very hard to sit down! the couple sitting next to us commented, "i feel like we should wait to start eating our food until yours comes out, because i feel like we are sitting at the same table!"

the food was good, but the portion was small. in other cities, mexican food is much less expensive and much larger portions.

this is the best mexican that ive found in lancaster so far, but not on par with other cities.

Auténtica Mexicana, Por Fin!. I love Mexican & Latin American food...they are probably my favorite cuisines. I was so happy to find Cocina Mexicana, on the recommendation of a friend. My husband and I are making our way through their menu on our visits and have not had one bad meal. The food is so fresh and full of taste. If you love Mexican cuisine and haven't tried Cocina Mexicana yet, I would highly recommend that you do. You won't regret it!

Authentic Mexican Food. Cocina Mexicana is perhaps the most authentic Mexican restaurant in Lancaster County, but seems to be the most overlooked. The small restaurant on Prince Street is simple and well kept with no frills, but the food is what has brought me back. Today I made a stop for lunch and had the Mole Verde platter, which was a special on the chalkboard. I've seen it on there before, so I'm assuming it is a fairly regular special. The dish was delicious. My only qualm was the $9.25 price tag was a little high for the entree which didn't boast that big a portion (see photograph). I also had a glass of Agua de Jamaica, one of several unique juices they offer on their menu, which was refreshing and tasty. I have also tried some of their sandwiches and tacos in the past, all being very good and seemed to be a better value for the money. For $2-3 per taco (which is around what one would spend at a mediocre fast food chain), one can sample a variety of kinds such as Lengua (beef tongue), Chorizo (spicy sausage), and Mexicana which features a choice of meat, cactus meat, and avacado. Sandwiches of similar varieties run about $5-6 each. Three types of homemade hot sauces are also provided, and make a great tasting addition to the meals. I have yet to leave Cocina Mexicana disappointed.

Guacamole, tamales, shrimp eenchiladas. I lived in southern california and since I've moved to the east coast I've missed true authentic "mom n' pop shop" mexican joints. This place gives you more bang for your buck than other mexican places around here. I Highly suggest it!
My only request is that they serve coconut soda.
Other than that... Amazing!
If i had 2 more hands I'd give this 4 thumbs up!

Sabroso!. Authentic home cooking and changing daily specials. Love the chorizo y queso appetizer, fish tacos, the tamales and the mole - only wish they would make it more often! One of our grand daughter Amelia's favorite restaurants!

We didn’t get table service, just take out. The food was great! The cashier was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and flavors. Prices were more than reasonable. I’d definitely recommend coming here for some tasty Mexican food! The atmosphere was very fun and super colorful!

We have tried several taco places in town, and were not very happy. We came across this place on a whim and boy was I happy we tried this place! All of the food was loaded, they were not skimpy on filling the tacos. We have eaten here several times now and never disappointed. Every bite was loaded with authentic spices. I am determined to try everything on this menu!

Truly authentic! Great place. Highly recommended the tacos - wow! Had the carnitas, arabe tacos and they were DELICIOUS! In my top five best taco - flavor, how it was cooked, etc. Everything was made to order but super quick to the table. Will be a regular here.

The enchiladas verdes were absolutely phenomenal; Not heavy or overly saucy like most places. Thoroughly enjoyed the verde sauce. Will definitely return to try more things.

I very much enjoy this place and their menu. I particularly like their carne asada tacos and the el pastors. What I find most impressive about this place is the shared space and ability to grab a drink at the Columbia Kettle works taproom, order some tacos, and grab a seat outside. Tacos come to you and go very well with Kettle Works Mexican lager.

This place was lovely! Our food was amazing and took under 10 minutes to get to us. Our server was so friendly and nice, and even the bathroom was big and beautiful and clean. I also felt that the cost was less than I've paid at similar places in the county while they had quite a few options to choose from. I also definitely appreciate a menu section dedicated to meatless items!

It was okay, the place has a lot of people coming here for food, but the eating area feels more like a fast food restaurant. Nevertheless the food is good and the prices are good.

Delicious, authentic Mexican corn tacos. Thin tortillas doubled up. It wasnt too much tortilla even tho it may look like it. I ordered chicken and pork. They came with a small amount of toppings, which didnt add much. Meat was cooked and seasoned well. Ordered a side of Spanish rice, which was a little bland. I'd come back here again, but expect a more striped down, basic taco.

Very tasty. Everything was well cooked and plating was nice. Tamales were good, but not amazing. Overall a yummy, affordable meal. It's a small space, but well worth it.

Hands down the best place to get authentic Mexican food in Lancaster. The place may be small but they serve fast and with great customer service. I am glad I don’t live within walking distance or I would be there everyday. Also not everybody can cook cactus right but there cactus is good.

Great food and ordered food for family of 5 plus guacamole & paid just $38! We never pay less than 50 even at fast food joints. Great service too. We'll be back soon.

On a whim, we decided to stop in at Covina Mexicana for some food. You are able then take your food outside or over to Columbia Kettle Works. The tacos were good and my friends’ burrito and tacos were always enjoyed by them. Personally the fish taco had a lot of flavor. The restaurant was clean and staff was friendly.
