Beautiful beer garden, a proper country pub in the middle of town. A real gem!!!!

Potentially the most authentic beer garden in town that can house many people. Nice inside also although it is a smaller pub. All I'd like to see is a greater selection of draught lager.

A friendly, local-style pub in the City centre, it's not been "modernised" and ruined. A notice on the door says that they don't serve food but, if you're having a drink, you can bring in your own from one of the many local food places! They have a fabulous beer garden - of quite a size - up old, worn stone steps at the back. You can really see how great it could be in summer to escape up there.

Great little spot to have cheap drinks in a fab outdoor area on a glorious day! Shame they can't afford to have nice gin glasses

Proper pub. Cash only, good but small selection of beers and the by far the best beer garden in Lancaster. Pool table is decent and they have good quality dartboard. Always a good spot for the music fest or if you're just looking for a friendly place for a pint

I strongly recommend this wonderful British pub. We held a birthday party there on the 26aug. Although there was over seventy guests every thing went brilliantly. The staff were so helpful and kind the food fantastic. Everyone had nothing but praise for the party and it's venue. Many many thanks to all staff for what must have been a very tiring day for them. They really did us proud.what would we do without our great British pub. Well done Ring o Bells Lancaster You gave one hundred and ten percent.

Great pub you can have a chat to the staff whilst ordering drinks (as it wasn't too busy when we got there) fab beer garden, live entertainment a bonus too!

Extremely friendly independent local pub. Great clientele. Wonderful value for money, with pubs like these who needs brewery giants. Have yet to sample the food but I'm sure we will soon.

Two or three real ales in a basic town pub, but out the back... A terraced beer garden goes up the hill. The parts are separated by cottage garden style borders and pots. Lovely.

It was quiet in here when i went in but it looked a fair bit livlier when i passed on other occasions however I prefer it a bit quieter. Sell a good ale selection also sell some shorts at reasonable price. Nice proper pub.

Don't be out of by a look through the front door. Not the best lit but a great place for a drink. Especially when it's not raining and you sit in the stunning beer garden at the back. They'll even let you bring in your own food

Very attractive and cosy pub with decent Guinness, but toilets were in a bad state and broken glass on floor

Friendly, cheap and cheerful pub with a great atmosphere and an amazing garden out at the back. Perfect for summer evenings and weekends, but cash only (cashpoint opposite so no problem)

Been here a couple of times in the recent good weather to sit in the beer garden. It's a proper garden... With grass! A bit of a rarity in a city centre. Can't fault it.

One of the very few Lancaster pubs that remains an old-school locals boozer, but it is also friendly with good ale. can't see many students venturing in (Sadly?)!
