Lovely pub with a nice outdoor area. It was great to sit on the sunshine people watching. The landlord and his wife were very friendly. The landlord came to chat to us about his pub and where he previously worked in Preston. They weren’t serving food today but the landlady said the kitchen would be open Sunday. When we left the pub we walked along the front to head back into the city. A very pleasant visit.

Great place serving excellent food and real ale kept by someone who knows their trade. Entertainment was very good and added to the already enjoyable atmosphere. The staff here are exceptional and could not be more welcoming or helpful.

A traditional pub with a great atmosphere on St George's Quay. Beer garden at the back. Pub food menu. Friendly bar staff. Live music and quizzes. The new landlord has done a good job.

The pub is under new management. Now doing good reasonably priced food still with a wide selection of beers and real ale. There is a fantastic friendly atmosphere one of the few pubs in Lancaster you can walk into not knowing anyone and end up having a good crack.

Finally making a return to the pubs to visit in Lancaster having a new team in place. Great beer and real 'old fashioned' food on offer..... Food in a basket.... No one does that anymore. Great and friendly staff, well worth a visit if in town.

Spent a very nice evening in this pub which had a good atmosphere. The live entertainment was fab, particularly 'Alice and the Looking Glass' who were outstanding!

Very accommodating patrons. Great to see new life being breathed into a Lancaster venue. They are certainly maintaining the local vibe but offering something a little new.

Absolutely brilliant! Under new fantastic management too. I cannot champion it more. If you're lovely, come along. If not, don't ruin it for the rest of us!

One of the very few proper pubs left. Now with new landlord Liam and the team it's a really great local and a good place to get some pub food and a good well kept pint.

Lovely, characterful traditional pub where staff are friendly and really care about providing excellent beers, well kept and served. Music sessions (traditional acoustic) most Wednesdays - musicians and listeners welcome, and there’s an area a little back from the music if it’s not your thing!
