Love this place... Food is always perfectly cooked, staff are very friendly always smiling and place is very clean Its probably the best place in Lancaster . I've been many times and quality of the food is always consistent I highly recommend eating here..

Very tasty �chicken kofte was delicious ..� Turkish tea or coffe ..traditional sweets and cakes are amazing ...very friendly staff ,really nice place ...quality food and good prices overall �����
Went in to Cafe Istanbul this evening. Great service and great food. We will definitely return to try more food from the tempting menu and that’s from me, someone who rarely tries anything new!
Turkish pizza was simply beautiful and the relaxed vibe in this place made us toooo chilled :-) highly recommended!

Always a warm welcome and lovely food. My son used to live in Istanbul and I look him in to try the coffee yesterday - it fully lived up to expectations, and he got a take-out gozleme to eat at the station whilst awaiting a delayed train. It's great to have this excellent addition to Lancaster's food offer, can only be improved by adding Baba Ganoush to the menu!
Called in this evening to have something to eat after the fireworks. Had some delicious cheesy garlic bread as a starter to share, then we had 1/2 chicken with chips & mixed salad. I had grilled lamb steak again with chips & salad. Everything was cooked very well & served by extremely polite and helpful staff. Great stuff Cafe Istanbul

Went in for lunch today. Everything was great. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They went out if their way to help. The food was delicious as well, so good we had seconds Haha!

Went for lunch with the wife and two of the kids. Lovely meal and service, generous portions that were reasonably priced as well. We’re definitely going back!
Two visits and thoroughly enjoyed both. Fast, friendly service. The Adana (kofte) kebab and all accompaniments are top notch and so is the coffee. Full marks from me. Highly recommended.

Café Istanbul is located in Lancaster town centre and as one would have guessed, serves Turkish cuisine. It is a simple, comfortable, non-flashy, casual dining restaurant & seeing Lahmacun (Turkish lavash with mince,like a thin crust pizza) on their menu was a good enough reason to give it a try.
The ambience was comfortable with music, portraits and lamps giving it a good central Eurasian vibe. The Turkish coffee is an expresso shot served in dainty porcelain set. Small, but packs a punch, a Caffeine high is guaranteed. The Lahmacun was flavourful and the mix shish, a combination of lamb shish, chicken shish & lamb doner was great as a meal. The lamb & chicken shish felt a tad under seasoned but the lamb doner compensated for it.
All meals were served with a generous serving of vegetables & greens, which did our gut some good. We were happy with the meal and would certainly recommend the lahmacun. We did have a small scare because they accepted only cash payment. (Did not notice the board) We are hoping it was a temporary glitch due to the card machine not functioning that day.
This is one the best restaurant I've visited in the last year. Came here with my friends and cousins and we so much loved. The attendant and cooks were lovely. Let our pics speak for us.

Best Turkish restaurant in town. Very friendly service and food is clean prepared and always delicios. We try several dishes, our favourite is Lahmacun, Turkish pizza, burgers are very delicious and BIG. Greek salad was very nice too and Gozleme. Feta cheese is nice and especially Spinach & Onion Gozleme we will definitely will order again. All food was freshly prepared and fast take away delivery too. I would definitely recommend this restaurant with genuine Turkish food. 👍

I've been to many different restaurants around the UK, and I'd say this is the best Turkish restaurant I have ever been to. İf you fancy Turkish cuisine, you should defo try this one. Amazing food. Probably one of the best takeaways in town. The meat is juicy and flavourful, and we really recommend the mixed grill kebab if you want to try a bit of everything. Best Turkish food I’ve had in England!
Friendly, quick and very good choice of veggie fast food (and non veggie too)! Firm favourite with daughter. Turkish coffee next time...
