Lovely little place to grab a coffee. In this secluded alleyway in historic Lancaster we stopped for coffee and to enjoy the sun. We were served quickly by very friendly staff. The food looked great but sadly we didn’t get a chance to stay long. However the coffee was lovely. There are some strong options for coffee in Lancaster as well. The location makes this a really good escape from the Main Street. Highly recommend.

My first time visiting The Music Room, although I have lived in Lancaster for over 10 years, I'm ashamed to say I had no idea it existed. A lovely little cafe! We had a delicious Viennese swirl biscuit, half dipped in chocolate, to my surprise it turned out to be two Viennese swirls with a generous dollop of frosting in between, I was a bit taken back by it and I thought it would be too sickly - it thankfully was not sweet at all. My partner and I shared this, it was lovely, and perfect with the Americano I ordered. The coffee it self was unfortunately quite sharp and bitter, but I will be going back to try it again and I hope to have a much better experience with the coffe.

Great coffee and good service. The cakes looked yum and they allow dogs. Tip - the sign on the door is not the one to walk through, use the door to the left of the window. Also the outside white garden tables belong to a different cafe.

First time visiting at a weekend. Dog friendly it turns out, which was great. As always, lovely coffee and delicious cakes. Relaxed atmosphere and nice decor. Can get a bit full of people on their Apple Macs during weekdays, so if that's not your thing when visiting a coffee shop then at least you now know.

The Music Room is the place I love to come when in Lancaster. Tucked away through a side road / alley the Music Room is set in a little square buzzing with other coffee lovers. Being part of Atkinson’s coffee roasters you can guarantee your not going to get a brew made from stale beans or the bitterness produced by the major chains. Don’t miss out on a great flat white.

Cafe located in a paved area in Lancaster, access via a passageway from one of the main shopping streets. Tables outside. Good selection of drinks and snacks, reasonable prices. Very interesting building, upstairs are two apartments that can be rented for short stays via the Landmark Trust.

A beautiful spot, both central and secluded. Very pretty, good service and relaxed atmosphere. One of my favourite places to pass an hour or two.
