It’s easily one of the best chippy in town. There’s a long queue when I came in but they served us pretty quickly.
I bought haddock (haddock is in the special board) with regular chips, potato scollops, pea croquettes, mushy peas and homemade tartar sauce.

Superb batter. Lightly battered haddock/cod is our favourite. Make sure you asked for it as you go in and don’t until you actually order.

One of the best chippies I have been to. Love their fish and chips. Also veggie burgers and fishcakes. They are always friendly and polite. The shop is spotless. Prices and portions are decent. They do a kiddies menu too. I live virtually opposite so the temptation is great. Not good for my pocket.
Loved the Lightly battered Haddock with salt and vinegar🤩 and their homemade tarter sauce, however the chips were okay okay😬.
We also ordered a veggie burger which was delicious too!😍 So for people who wish to have veg then this Veggie burger is a really really good choice😁. Overall was really happy
Absolutely ages since I’ve been to a chippy - was not disappointed - haddock & regular chips £9.40 - the 🐟 freshly fried melts in your mouth, the fluffy chips were excellent.

I live closer to a few other chippies but always take the longer drive to Hodgson's Chippy. Always cooked fresh to order.
When you fancy the chippy, it needs to hit the mark and Hodgson's is always there, never had anything bad from here.

Best fish and chips I have had in decades. The homemade tartare sauce was really nice too.
I had the haddock with chips, mushy peas and curry sauce. Really really good fish and chips! And extra thumbs up for the curry sauce (though I would have liked it spicier). Brisk service, freshly fried fish that was still crunchy 15 minutes later when I finally ate it! Will be back!

Favourite chippy I have ever eaten from the fish is soo good and the chips are made to perfection only complaint is the waiting times which is expected due to how good this chippy is
