First time visitors to Lancaster and the Three Mariners and I have to say the food was excellent...! Generous portions (even the kids menu) and very tasty. I can recommend the hotspot

Fantastic local pub friendly bar staff and customers myself and wife traveled up from Birmingham to visit daughter at Lancaster university. Although its in the centre of town you can have a nice quiet drink without it over run by students. We were staying at the holiday inn and asked local taxi driver to recommend good pub away from the students night life. Thank you to the staff and customers for making it an enjoyable experience.

Last night was the first time we had been here. We had the Blackpudding starter followed by the Pork roast ... both were really good. The staff, the young waitress was great and the music, of which I beleave is going to be there every Sunday between 5pm and 8pm really made the night. We will be going again.

My family and I visit this lovely pub regularly and can't wait for it to reopen after the refurb! We love the fish specials and the chef's style of cooking. See you soon 3 Mariners!!

What a friendly and lovely pub. The Irish barmaid was attentive and friendly and really made the visit worthwhile. She couldn't do enough for us, during our visit. I tried a variety of the great craft beers on offer and we also had food. The chicken roast dinner was excellent, as was the burger with cheese and bacon, which came with delicious home made chips, and coleslaw. Great food...great service...great beer. A must visit if you're in Lancaster.

Excellent food and friendly service. The interior is now beautiful since the recent refurbishment. Love little pub. It’s the oldest pub in Lancaster. Very cosy little tavern which makes you want to sit and drink in front of the fires. Can’t wait to visit again. Chips are 10/10!

Great old pub! The food is fabulous and they have a great selection of ales. The staff are also fantastic. It's great to go to an old pub and have a good old banter with the lovely bar staff, it is something that's missing today, but that The Threw Mariners have. They have a beer garden not too far from the main road, but the atmosphere makes you feel miles away!!

We loved their Fish and Chips!! The batter is crispy and perfectly seasoned. Fish is light, soft, flaky and fresh! Best fish and chips we’ve had! Excellent lager, Carling. We had a nice chat with the chef. He is very friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Popped in here as it was the closest place serving lunch that had decent reviews. Glad we did. Although they were in the process of changing their menus, so many dishes listed were not available, what we did eat was delicious, arrived quickly (although it was quiet at the time), and arrived piping hot. A really enjoyable lunch. Good selection of beers available, and helpful friendly staff.

A very cozy traditional British pub. A very charming atmosphere, generous portions and the staff was absolutely lovely. We went on one of the life music days and it was all very pleasant. I ordered the fish n chips and it was very tasty, served with mushy peas and mustard It was my birthday so my friends ordered a slice of cake as a surprise and the waitress brought it with a candle as they all sang happy birthday, a very warm and charming detail, thank you so much, I had a very special time!

Cracking pub hidden away near the river. Good selection of cask beers, and excellent food, all home cooked. No ping ping microwave stuff. Proper hand cut chips, chunky and probably twice fried??Staff attentive and friendly. Recommended.
