What a friendly and lovely pub. The Irish barmaid was attentive and friendly and really made the visit worthwhile. She couldn't do enough for us, during our visit. Excellent food and friendly service. The interior is now beautiful since the recent refurbishment. Love little pub. It’s the oldest pub in Lancaster. Very cosy little tavern which makes you want to sit and drink in front of the fires. Can’t wait to visit again. Chips are 10/10!

Great old pub! The food is fabulous and they have a great selection of ales. The staff are also fantastic. It's great to go to an old pub and have a good old banter with the lovely bar staff, it is something that's missing today, but that The Threw Mariners have. They have a beer garden not too far

We loved their Fish and Chips!! The batter is crispy and perfectly seasoned. Fish is light, soft, flaky and fresh! Best fish and chips we’ve had! Excellent lager, Carling. We had a nice chat with the chef. He is very friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Cracking pub hidden away near the river. Good selection of cask beers, and excellent food, all home cooked. No ping ping microwave stuff. Proper hand cut chips, chunky and probably twice fried??Staff attentive and friendly. Recommended.
