I had been in prego 4 years ago and remembered the restaurant well. when i was in lanark 2 weeks ago i decided to go in for an early evening meal. i thoroughly enjoyed the food presentation was excellent , staff were very helpful and friendly. so i have been back a few times since then and have booked in for a meal tomorrow saturday . i would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Prefer their Carluke restaurant for atmosphere but food is equally good in Lanark. Highly recommend both Prego restaurants to anyone. Prego sticks a must.

A very friendly local eatery. Good service and excellent Margaritas! Visited twice and I'd say the risotto is as good as I've had anywhere - the mushroom risotto was deeply flavoured. Had steak for my main both times (filet and ribeye): good quality meat, well seasoned and accurately cooked, served with well executed standard sides. The by the glass Montepulciano d'Abruzzo was really good at the price and went well with our steaks.
My only caveats are that the house (by the glass) Pinot Grigio isn't up to much, wet with little discernable flavour, and our Tiramisu was pleasant, well presented but a bit lacklustre (more booze needed here!)
Overall, well worth a visit and I'll go back when I'm in Lanark again.

We booked a reservation and were seated quickly. The food was fair but I must say the service from the staff members especially the male staff member that was attending was very good. He asked us if all was alright and managed everything well.

Don't often go into Prego as it is quite difficult to get a booking at short notice and am not that organised. Booked this time well in advance and was not disappointed. Food was fabulous, nice sized portions and the staff were absolutely first rate. Prego - recommended 👍🏻
Love this place and food is always fantastic..
French restuarant. Visit fairly regularly, never dissapointed. Almost always fully booked & have mostly to reserve seating 2 weeks in advance. Nice ambience, food excellent, staff efficient & friendly. Good menu & usually have an additional special at the weekend. Not keen on set lunch menu.
