Called into the Wallace tea rooms for a bite of lunch during a quick visit to Lanark. Fairly good menu and decided to go for the soup which was excellent, very tasty. Now called the Broomgate Cafe, good coffee, nice selection of cakes and light meals. The staff are friendly and helpful and seem to take an interest in their customers.
Prompt friendly service. Enjoyed crisp scones and coffee. A must pop in again type of place. I thought being pet friendly was a nice touch - so few places allow dogs in these days.

We are a vegan family and the staff here were very good in helping us with what was suitable for us. We had jacket potatoes with beans, salad and home-made hummus. Great to see soya and almond milk as options with hot drinks.
