Had the buffet, selection was pretty good, the food was hot and very tasty. Staff were pleasant and the place was comfortable and clean. Only disappointment was no bar, but it wouldn't put me off returning for a meal.

Absolutely loved it. The food is fantastic and the service was 1st class. The staff are so friendly they are like a family and everyone is made to feel very welcome. And the quality of the food is exceptional. They do not have a license to sell alcohol but you are welcome to take your own which the staff will keep chilled for you if you wish, and there is no corkage charge. It was one of the best restaurants my wife and I have been to in ages.

Just picked up our takeaway from Jeera's and I can honestly say it was the best I've tasted in a long time. Great, friendly staff, restaurant looked lovely. Food was hot and it was delicious. Great value for money. Will definitely be going again, glad I found the place.

jeez this chap bends over backwards to make your meal enjoyable. I have no idea why it was quiet on our visit can only guess people think it's shut. I don't think I have ever had such great service or felt like my business has been wanted as much as this restaurant and the food is just fantastic well recommended and will be back

This Restaurant is the best! We moved into the area in February 2020, moved up from Kent, and was worried that we wouldn't find another Restaurant with as nice food as we had in Kent. We tried all of the Restaurants in the area including Biggar, Lanark, as well as various other Restaurants as far out as Wishaw! And none of them were as nice as the one we had in Kent 🥵 But then we found The Jeera in Lanark, and I can honestly say this food is the absolute best!! The staff are very polite, kind, and courteous, and they also remember us and our orders. We love the food from this Restaurant so much so that we order a takeaway every week (sometimes twice!!). The food tastes delicious, is full of flavour, and the potatoes in the Sag Aloo are nicely marinaded, and also the chicken Tikka is nicely marinaded and very tender and soft, unlike some other restaurants that don't even marinade their chicken!! The Peswari Naan Breads are nice and fluffy and filled with lots of ingredients inside, and have been cooked in the Tandoori oven and have that nice Tandoori taste. When I purchase Indian food, it needs to be special, otherwise I won't return as a regular customer, and this food from the Jeera is definitely special and is well worth travelling to! Big Thank You to The Jeera for looking after us and cooking us really nice food every week!! 🙏👍 😍

As always the very best Indian food I have ever had. The chef is clearly a fantastically talented chef. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Visted a few times now and seems like it gets better and better each time!! And it was amazing the first time. Have been going now for well over 1 year. They have a great selection of House Specialities and Chef's Specialities! The traditional currys are ofcourse amazing, full of flavour, fresh, tasty and each dish has its own flavours. Totally love the green Mint and Corriander dip! give it a try with some poppadoms! I travel all the way from Glasgow just to get a curry as the food is the best Indian food I have ever had and I have had Indian food from all over the UK and Glasgow of course. Chicken is always top quaility and never frozen. Just wish they would open up in Glasgow. Give it a try. This place should be voted best Indian in Scotland!

Pleasantly surprised to find a good Indian restaurant in Lanark. Veg pakora was really good, in fact best so far in Scotland. Samosa was okay. Curries were good, not too spicy not to bland. Daal tadka was tasty. Chapaties were soft but little too sweet for our liking. Price reasonable. No alcoholic drinks served, you can bring your own though.

This lovely Indian establishment was a fantastic place to eat. Myself and 13 work colleagues gathered to enjoy some food & drink. The food, drink and service was superb. Will certainly be back. Cannot recommend it enough. :)

Brilliant meal couldn't fault it. Tremendous service and food for 4 of us was served at reasonable intervals. A plus for this restaurant is that it is BYO drink so made the overall evening very inexpensive.

Great for curry connoisseurs. This is a wonderful curry house. The curries are delicate in nature, based on texture and aroma, rather than how spicy they are. The balti is easily on par with many of the curry houses in the Balti triangle of Birmingham. The only disappointing factor was the quality of the shared starter which could have been better presented with fresh salad. However, the attentive and welcoming nature of the staff more than made up for this. This is easily the best curry house in Lanark. A hidden gem, although not the easiest place to find.

We visit Jeera regularly ourselves, with both friends and with family. The proprietor (Taj) is an very hospitable person and goes out-of-his-way to make you feel welcome, always greeting you with a smile and a friendly welcome. Both Taj and his staff are very friendly, attentive and have a great attitude. Being a somewhat self proclaimed connoisseur of Indian food, the dishes served in Jeera are among the best in Scotland - I thoroughly recommend the 'Taj Special' and 'Captain Patila' dishes - Taj Special has to be the finest dish I have tasted - anywhere. Such a unique blend of herbs and spices and tempered to the individual palette - My compliments to the Chef! The restaurant is very clean, comfortable, elegantly styled and has a relaxed atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable and excellent value for the quality of the food served. And lastly, not forgetting the bring-your-own-bottle (byob) policy: the restaurant is not a licensed premises but does however, allow you to bring your own alcoholic beverage with no corkage charge - why be restricted to house wines, beers & spirits, when you can enjoy the finest food with your favourite tipple!
