The view from the bistro is worth the visit alone. But you get much more. Tasteful decor, good food and great service (thanks Phil and the team). All of this for a very reasonably priced menu. There is lots of parking and you can enjoy the lake as well (walking, cycling etc). Well worth a visit.
Had a fabulous Sunday lunch with my girlfriends- perfect view of the waters - staff were friendly with smiles and made us feel very welcome - chocolate creme brûlée was delicious �
Lovely food and just to top it off view is amazing, will be going back again very soon!
Had a really lovely Christmas Eve lunch here today following a wonderful visit to the grotto at Bewl. Staff were lovely really helpful and friendly and food was excellent and good value.
Exceptional Sunday lunch, overlooking the beautiful water at Bewl. Friendly welcoming staff and relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be back soon!

Stunning views over Bewl Water, but the Bistro doesn't just serve up great views the food was superb. Stand out mackerel main and the Eskimo bars for dessert were top, top, quality. Great service too.
Amazing views and lovely fish and chips. Just what we were after. Would have been nice if there were a few more options on fridays but good fish and chips nonetheless. Staff were lovely and helpful and the view was unbeatable.

Spur of the moment and loved it, had smoked Duck starter that was amazing followed by roast beef and then a delicate chocolate ganashe. The staff were extremely busy on the Sunday I attended but everyone appeared to be as happy as we were with the service.
Staff were extremely engaging, heads up and eye contact looking to assist. We certainly make it a regular on the weekends.

We were so grateful for Thomas through our planning process and the wedding day itself. He gave such a genuine and personable approach to helping us frame our day and organised dead lines too. He really listened to our ideas and needs for our day and I must say he managed to fit in all that we wanted and within our budget too! He suggested ideas we hadn’t thought of and let us mix and match the menu to make it have the family warm feel we wanted. The guests were so impressed at how the day was managed and it flowed so well I didn’t worry about a thing or see any transition between the wedding breakfast and the evening reception. He really looked after us on the day by bringing me out a warm drink during our photos in the rain! He made the effort to meet up with us in a local location to finalise plans and sent me the updated documents so we were always on the same page!
His team were super, the waitresses were very observant and polite, the food too was amazing! The venue is stunning night and day, rain or shine!
Thankyou so much for looking after us and I’m sure you will become a very popular wedding venue this year!
The Davis’s
This was a real find. Great service, good food and brilliant entertainment watching the weather change over the water and the various users fall off their wind surfers or paddle away from the rain. Worth a visit before or after Scotney Castle. Will be returning to make use more of the facilities on the water and eat there again
We went here today for lunch and can't fault it! Amazing setting, really friendly service, everyone loved their meal and it's really good value. I feel like It should be more expensive than it is actually - perhaps I shouldn't say that!? Will definitely be going back again. Thank you!
Just a wonderful experience been several times now.
My only criticism would be the staff need a bit more support as I've ordered drinks before and been forgotten about, I've then had to remind them, also the food took too long but never the less a good time had by all as the staff where polite and the food was worth the wait.
Lovely situation. Great ambiance. Very we cooked food at a food price given quality. We had a lovely day out with a late lunch at the Bistro as a wonderful finishing touch.

I dine with my family and friends on a regular basis at Bewl Bistro and we were there when "D B" from Tuscon Arizona (United States of Trumpland!) was also supposedly dining.
What a difference in twp peoples perspectives!
We spent a good few hours over lunch on that day with 4 adults and 4 children (aged 4 / 6 / 11 / 13)
The food, staff, and their other clients were amazing (as they always are) The bistro attracts other like minded people (well generally - unless they're Trumpers!) who enjoy good company, and good food, and in comfortable surroundings.
I doesn't matter to me how many starters and mains there were on the menu - but they were more than adequate.
I would rather have a small number of dish's well cooked and presented rather than have a vast menu of mediocre food a la Trumpland where I lived for so many years.
Hosting another table in a few weeks time - will give a fully and upto date review.

I went to a wedding and it was amazing the view was great the meal was excellent and it was generally a great day. It's great for special occasions for friends and family.
