Absolutely incredible place! We eat out regularly and this pub/restaurant is by far the best we've been to! Friendly staff as soon as you walk through the door with gorgeous decor and lovely atmosphere! Really rustic, really country, lots of little nooks and crannies to quietly sit and enjoy the place :) got seen really quickly, food was served piping hot and promptly, and was absolutely delicious! Asked the waitresses opinion between two dishes and she was honest which I appreciated, and the prices are fantastic! Could have eaten both my starter and main again, and not because the portions were small (they were very generous) but out of sheer enjoyment! What a fab place, definitely coming back will be recommending all the time :)

We had an amazing meal. The food was better than a 5 star hotel. Excellent choice of gluten free menu. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend. Best food in the area. Thank you for making it such an enjoyable visit.

We visited The Bell Inn to enjoy their sunday menu - The roast dinner was spectacular. Generous portion size, particularly with regards to the meat, where other restaurants would often scrimp. Potatoes / Vegetables were seasoned to perfection, and the extras were tasty too. The staff welcomed us heartily on arrival, and were attentive throughout - they even provided complimentary parsnip crisp. Real cozy village pub feel on the inside too, proper family like. I would recommend anyone in the area make the trip to the Bell Inn.

Such a lovely little village pub, stopped at passing through for dinner and had the most delicious meals! Had the pork belly starter as a chefs special, fish and chips and burger and everything we ate was so yummy. Matt our server was so helpful, friendly, attentive and approachable. Would definitely visit again!

Had Camembert sharer for starters, with nice pickles and assorted bread. Chicken Satay and the Cajun Salmon for mains, served on interesting couscous and rice respectively . All was very good, well cooked and good size portions, The only improvement might have been a little more paprika in the Cajun crust, but I know you don't want to overpower the delicate flavour of the fish. The lady who was front of house was lovely.

The best Pub roast I've ever had! Probably the most generous kids today too, comes on an adults plate and apart from the meat there was no difference. Going here has been on a list for a while and it really was faultless food and faultless service. Sat down at the bar for a drink first, great selection of beers and a little different to what you'd normally find it in a country pub. They also offered a free plastic picnic beer glass at it was Father's Day. Complimentary focaccia with oil and balsamic, and then on to the roast; really good beef, but the pork, very tender with a nice line of crackling over the top. All the trimmings and a nice big Yorkshire pudding always goes down well. Managed a couple of desserts between us; classic crème brulé and a peach tart fine (hadn't heard of it before). All this topped off with friendly staff who really looked after us while we were there

Great lunch today. Good choices and our party of 4 thoroughly enjoyed the different dishes. I had Mushroom Cottage Pie and it was delicious. All were beautifully presented on hot plates. The real ale was well kept; bright and not over-chilled. We had a problem with the cider as it tasted vinegary but it was replaced with a perfect pint cheerfully and without argument. Puddings were lush too. Service efficient and friendly.

Called in here just on the off chance. We wanted a decent sandwich with real bread! The chicken a bacon was sooo good. My husband had a home made black pudding sausage pasty off of the specials board. Staff were excellent, wine and beer good too. Highly recommended.

That was a really nice pub, in a scenic location. We ordered chicken Sunday roast. We received way more chicken then we expected for the money. The food was of a high standard. The staff were lovely. Highly recommended

Lovely Sunday roast , But roast potatoes could have been crisper. Our waiter David was so lovely with or large party , but I thought the assistant manager could have worn a smile and been a little more customer friendly

Hadn't been for many years and certainly won't be leaving it that long! Food was awesome, service was superb. After mentioning it was my mother's birthday the day before they surprised us with an extra dessert and singing- such a lovely touch - she was thrilled. Thank you to all the staff for a great visit.

Really welcoming staff and great food - well worth a drive to get to such a great country pub - welcomes dogs and well behaved children (and adults!)
